How any Pens fan can claim pride in the "longest active playoff streak in sports*" is a straight embarrassment

They didn't make it to the 16 team playoff = they didn't make the playoffs

I’ve watched enough Oilers games that I feel like I’ve adopted them. It’s also good for the league to have McDavid in meaningful games.

Definitely rooting against the Bruins. Can’t decide if I hope the Leafs finally win a round, or if it’s better if they don’t for the lulz.

Don't know if I'd be as happy as a pig in shit if the Leafs get bounced again in Rd.1 but I would greatly enjoy it

I'd like them to lose in a grand fashion again, then in the summer they trade one of their $10 million men and come back to the drawing board with some humility*

*(I've no idea if they were actually humbled or not the last cpl years but one of the "greatest" franchise in all NHL history has to be doing several things wrong to not have won The Cup since Original 6 era... something reassuring, hopeful, as a Caps fan that an O6 team can be so fraught with problems every year)

The leaf fans are innumerable and insufferable, and i have no issues rooting against them

For me:

B's have Orly and Hath. Can't cheer for any other eastern team. No.

In the west, I'd like to sea the Kraken go far and I'd like to see the Oil get siphoned in the 1st round. :naughty: Sorry, too much meth in my coffee.

Matthews has 1 year left on his contract. Summer would be chaotic if they lose in the 1st round again.

We should convince Toronto that Kuznetsov was the real Conn Smythe winner during the Cup run and they should trade noted playoff choker Auston Matthews to us for playoff hero Evegny Kuznetsov.

Tough to say who to root for... who has the least annoying broadcast team from the West?

Personally, I hate the Rangers more than those two teams. Yes, even over Pittsburgh. I hope the NJD who I also don't like steam rolls the Rangers. I'm rooting for Edmonton, Winnipeg, Colorado, or even Boston. I'll probably watch the first round and then casually check in for updates etc. No Caps means I'm not interested in these playoffs.
 
I grew up as a Caps, Oilers, old Jets, and Kings fan. Of course Caps are tops and those teams take a backseat when they play the Caps. It's easily for me Edmonton since I think they have the best chance this year. Of course the Kings could upset and be a sleeper SC team. I forgot Seattle too, but I don't think they go very far. It's nice to see them heading in the right direction though. Winnipeg is a strange team and could upset. They give me 2018 Caps vibes if they hit all cylinders.

The only reason I put Boston on my list lol is they are the only original team I like. I've grown more over the years disliking them, however it's just too hard to replace memories. Some of my first NHL games I watched getting into hockey was Bruins hockey way back when Ray Bourque was a youngster. That said, their fans can be excruciating painful to deal with. Their fans are right up there with Pens fans sometimes lol.
