Pens board talking about their 1.5% chance to get #1OA. They’re in such shock, they don’t even know how the lottery works, LOL.

Ofc if they do jump us to get #4, I might go nuts. And wouldn’t put it past Gary to be feverishly revising the lotto rules to hand them Bedard.

If that happens I'm pretty sure this league would lose a lot of fans. That would be nail in coffin for me with NHL and I really love the sport of hockey.

Edit: I'm talking about the rules revised to favor the Pens, not use getting the #4 lol.

It could possibly get even worse for Pittsburgh. If they get even 1 point in their last game they could end up 15th or 16th OA.

Enjoy an entirely stress-free 2 months of hockey? That's my plan.

EDIT: Also cheer on the kids Hershey.
I'm actually looking forward to some playoff hockey not really rooting for anyone. Easy to get in the mode with how terrible the Capitals have been since the first of the year.

Who would've thought the Pens playoff streak would end in a year where Crosby and Malkin didn't miss a single game and combined for 174 points? Just a garbage lineup outside of the top 6.
As opposed to our lineup which is garbage across all 4 lines

Pens were the ultimate less than the sum of their parts team this year. It's like if we went out and got 3 Manthas and Jack Campbell

I’m with you, last May crushed me. We had those mfers and peed our pants, we would have gave TB a better fight than Florida did. Looking forward to watching stress free

Im gonna bandwagon on the Bruins but also the Kraken. Would be sweet irony if Daniel Sprong scores a G7 OT GWG. I actually think im gonna put some money on him doing so.

My thoughts exactly. I plan to simply enjoy some playoff hockey and the shit-talking boards/controversial moments without a real emotional stake in it. I remember feeling just that during the 2013-14 playoffs, and this time a much better draft pick is hopefully in the works

For so many years I've spent the playoffs rooting for the Caps, and then when that fails rooting against the Flyers and Pens.

What the f*** am I gonna do now??
Root for chaos? NYR/NJD stand out as pretty unlikable and I'll probably also root against BOS just to see how they respond. Ditto TOR, of course.

I'll probably root for the Oilers. A lot of Caps similarities there. And I find DAL pretty likable also.

I'm ok with most of the WC teams but can't root for anything from Dallas.

In the East it would be the Leafs and that's about it. f*** everyone else.

So chances are I'll be backing the WC team in the Finals.

Playoff hockey will be like Premier League soccer for me this year. I love watching the PL mainly because I don’t have a significant rooting interest in any team and I can just enjoy the sport. I like certain players and I’ve always been a bit partial to Arsenal because someone bought me an Arsenal t-shirt when I was young and I wore it all the time because I loved the cannon plus they wear red jerseys and underperform a lot so it’s like watching the Caps but I don’t have even a tenth of the passion for them that I do for the Caps so if they lose I just shrug and go about my day.

Playoff hockey will be like that this year. I have certain players I’m pulling for and teams I’ll bandwagon for various reasons and teams I’ll root against but I’m very much looking forward to just enjoying the pressure cooker of the playoffs without feeling like I’m going to throw up.

Can’t decide who I’m rooting against more: Carolina or NY Rangers.

Don’t really have strong feelings for or against any other team.
