Sucks whatever happened that caused him to be shipped out. He’s another guy who would is everything they need right now.
Have a coworker who is a long tenured and hard core Detroit fan and, though I hate speculating, did ask if anything leaked as to what the issue is but he had no clue.

Recent article in The Athletic reviewing how each player is adjusting with their new team after the TDL.

Ruthless on Eller:
Eller on the other hand has continued his employment at the doughnut factory with zero goals and zero assists in five games as an Avalanche. That extends his pointless streak to 14 games and 26 of his last 27 games. Points aren’t everything, but yeesh.

MoJo doing MoJo things (in a good way):
Johansson has just a single assist in four games, but a 62 percent expected goals rate speaks to the little things he’s doing well for the Wild so far. A nice utility add.

And Sandin… Actually Good?
The Leafs dealt Sandin because he wasn’t in their playoff plans as a member of the top six — and they likely didn’t believe he was a true top-four defenseman long-term.

Washington begs to differ so far playing him 21:40 in his first game, 25:06 in his next game and 29:58 on Thursday. In those three games, Sandin has five points, is up 5-1 in goals, and has a 50 percent expected goals rate despite facing tougher opponents on a team that is otherwise getting caved in. His average Game Score of 1.66 leads Washington since his arrival. Maybe he was Actually Good.

Smith has been around the Capitals for twice as many games and while he hasn’t blessed the scoresheet much (two goals in six games), his ability to drive play at five-on-five has returned. Good for him.

poor Lars.

And sure hope Sandin is actually good, no reason to doubt it. but again I feel compelled to remind that Mantha had 6 points in his first 6 games as a Cap and then...

LOL Bruins moneyline was still -125 when they were down 0-2.

Get another ENG and cover the puckline as well, plz
Should have teased it down like me :)

4.5 is nice bc when it was 2-2 I knew I won bc SO is a free goal

But now the Pens/Flyers will bust me bc thats what they do

I hope the best for Hathaway and Orlov but not the Bruins or their pathetic fan base. Can never forgive that fan base for the way they reacted towards Joel Ward with his GW in Game 7 2012.

That was terrible. However, this behavior runs rampant everywhere. Racism has no fixed address.

I wouldn’t mind another underdog series against a powerhouse Bruins.

It’s fun being on the other side of a choked series.

Would be fun seeing Orlov match up against Ovi and see if Ovi puts him into the boards or Orlov gives Ovi a hipcheck for old times sake. I suspect neither would happen but a fun matchup regardless. Also getting annoyed with Hathaway.

I forget who mentioned that it was tough seeing the goalies from last year leave and play better on other teams and I’m thinking they’re the same guys who are just playing on better teams.

I look at it as playoffs prove a lot and the recent goalies didn't have a good goalie coach either. That said, myself and others had enough of their antics last year. I do miss the Sammie playoff avatar though. The player I'll be watching is VV for NJD.

Maybe they'll have "too soon" feelings like Halak lol.

I was talking to some folks last night and they seem to think Pitt will end up in the 8th and upset Boston. I've seen that happen before, however imagine the melt down if they do, lol.
