Pointing out other historical uses of PAP is not speculation. It's demonstrating that the PAP program is used for a large number of different types of situations, beyond the couple that are most frequently associated with it in the public's eye.

The mods over at HFWings had the best sentiment back when Vrana disappeared from the roster in October. Essentially "you can speculate, but keep it to yourself." Just because you have a thought doesn't mean you need to share it.

As with most of my people i rarely get loud or emotional but when Jiriceks shot just trickled under Lindbloms pads i stood up and swore loudly. Which is basically the Scandinavian equivalent of calling in Calicis dragons.

I mean if he doesn't report to GR, his NHL career is somewhat done, right? Not technically/officially, but who is going to take that chance on him in the near future? May end up going back home?

I hope Jake gets everything in order, personally. Just because he's out of the PAP, doesn't mean everything is completely fine.

He's already played 3 games with Grand Rapids and was the one to request to extend his conditioning stint. Why is anyone talking about him not reporting?
 
Yeah, Jake just isn’t ready to plan NHL games. Go work some things out with a few more AHL games.

Does make you wonder if there is an unwritten rule with a guy coming back injured. Also why i thought we should have sent AA down immediately. But it could also be that nobody wants to take that contract.

Either way, I think he’ll play some more games. How long? We’ll see. If too long I think we could see some fireworks but for now Go grow young man!

Six straight Ls for them. That Winter Classic loss was tough.

Solid out of town scoreboard night for us. Canes, Isles, Devils all lost in regulation and Philly beat Arizona to win their fourth straight hurting their tank chances.

Question for other Canadian Caps fans.

I find myself rooting against Canada a lot these days. I guess it's because of Crosby vs Ovechkin but I'm also kind of bored of seeing Canada dominate. For those Czech and Slovak kids, winning would have been a crowning achievement while for Bedard it's literally just another gold that he'll win a dozen of in his career.

Don't get me wrong, this is only against underdog teams. When Canada plays USA, it's still Canada all the way.

Fellow Canadian here.

I root for Canada no matter what. Most bittersweet moment as a hockey fan was Crosby’s golden goal. I was ecstatic, but repulsed by the fact Sid was the one to score.

If Canada lost to the Czechs yesterday, I wouldn’t be upset. I always have a soft spot for underdogs, I root for the little guy in any sport competition when I am neutral.

I checked out the Leafs thread on the mains about Murray/Sammy, and it has gone from bragging to meltdown. The Leafs have a league worst .852 SV% since Dec 15th.

It really does seem like we broke Sammy, as he hasn’t had a game better than .882 since he gave up 5 on 28 shots to us.

My favorite comment was someone suggesting the Leafs target Reimer in a trade. I remember the exact suggestion being floated here a number of times last year.

Regression to the mean is a mf’er!

This is why when someone bolts out of the gate on fire, I just wait……consistency is a MF’er. That’s what makes Ovy great.

Sillinger scored a few goals early last year and CBJ management made the mistake of assuming that would continue. It sure didn't, and his offensive development is totally stalled right now. So yeah, he definitely should have gone back to juniors.

I drafted him in a deep keeper league and he's been a disaster. I just hope he goes the Niederreiter route and develops a scoring touch later in his career.

Boo - really annoying how good Boston is. I expected them to make the playoffs but to do so in the 3rd spot or a wildcard spot, NOT to be the best damn team in the league halfway into the season.

Very disappointing.

I’d have to vote for the Canucks as the worst team in the league to root for, aside from maybe Edmonton. They have a ton of talent but play beer league defense and have the mental fortitude of a wet paper bag. What a mess.
