I like the homes a lot. I'm a big fan of using the logo color as your secondary color on the jersey (since that color is already prominently featured on the logo crest, obviously), which they do. And then they absolutely nail it with the subtle red accents, pulling the red from the logo into the lines on the jersey that create definition and visual interest.
I like the design but the contrast looks rough from far away, they probably need to use the lighter of their teal colors for things like the numbers

While it’s not bad, that’s 5 minutes on power point type of work

I suspect the 2 years was committee thinking and wangling and vacillating over how it should look rather than 2yrs of slogging away in the photoshop mines.

Matthews gets his 40th, a lot of discussion if he is reaching Ovi goal scoring tier. Luckily for us they’re beating up on the Blue Jackets…

Bruins drop a point in the last minute. Blue Jackets and Islanders both lose. Good for us.

If he can continue to do that for the next 12-13 years, then we’ll talk.
Agreed. If you just look at age, Matthews has about the same number of goals as OV did when they were both 24. But Matthews has played many more games and his pace is not even close to OV. So he would have to put up 12-13 consecutive 50 goal seasons when he has not done that even once yet.

Besides, Ovi started at the age of 20 and missed the 04-05 season due to the lockout.

What Matthews is doing is impressive, but we were saying the exact same things about Stamkos when he was 24-25.

AM34 is unreal but I don’t see how anyone other than Shesterkin is the clear front runner for the Hart. The Rangers have terrible underlying metrics and are ass without him.

Shesterkin: 28-6-3, .942 save %, 1.93 GAA, 3 SO.
Georgiev: 7-9-2, .893 save %, 3.15 GAA, 0 SO.

If they win the Cup or go deep it may go down as one of the greatest goaltending seasons in NHL history.

So you're saying he should expect to get run once the playoffs start.

hmmm…I’m going to need to see the comps on that one….should it play out.

but one question…..why does a contender for an all time best individual season performance need that level of team success to make it a qualifier?

What does winning a cup have to do with that?

There is a big difference between carrying a mediocre team to a tournament that half the league qualifies for and carrying a mediocre team to a championship. There's a big difference between J.S Giguere and Andrew Hammond.

Here is the list of goalies with at least 30GP who finished a season with over a .940 save percentage and under a 2.00 GAA: Jacques Plante (1968-69 and 1970-71), Brian Elliott (2011-12), Igor Shesterkin (this season, maybe).

Plante won the Cup both times. Elliott played in less than half his team's games for some reason and the Flyers were upset by New Jersey in the second round.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. I was just pointing out that the season and the playoffs are two different things.

If someone said Ovechkin greatest season was 2017-18 I'd say they were dead wrong, its very clearly 2007-08. Now if you said his greatest playoffs was 2017-18 than that statement would make a lot more sense.

The Leafs are the 2009 Caps. Offensive juggernaut led by the best goal scorer in hockey that season, strong PP, stacked forward lines… and then terrible blue line depth and very suspect goaltending. Let’s see how it works out for them in the playoffs.

... yep. Also, let's see if Matthews gets to sit any games for his crosscheck to Dahlin.

Speculation on LeBrun’s part, but no thanks to that price tag if it’s true. Use the first round pick elsewhere.
