Anyone else watching this terrible Columbus vs Pitt game? One of the worst “goalie interference” calls I’ve ever seen.

Can’t link anything cause I’m out on my phone. But Crosby interferes with the goalie catching a puck and it’s ruled a good goal

The Rangers really are a completely different team behind Georgiev vs. Shesterkin.

If and when Washington gets a goaltender, hopefully it can have the same galvanizing effect that Shesterkin provides for the Rangers, though of course Washington won’t be getting a .940 goalie.

You can’t be serious. CBJ goalie was way outside the crease and Crosby was sandiwched in between the defenseman and the goalie.

Yes I realize the crease isn’t a rule but at what point is the goalie no longer entitled to the puck? I would say outside the crease.

There’s a reason the review was quick, that was obviously not interference.

But he caught the puck and in the same motion had it knocked out? Was he supposed to stand back in his crease and not make a play on the puck?

It was simultaneous. The player is entitled to the puck just like the goalie is.

To me, this was similar to when a DB and WR run into each other in football.
You’re right (clearly since the call was this) but it just seems crappy to me. Maybe my 29 years of playing goalie taints my view haha. But if my heels were on the crease, I caught the puck, and someone knocked or out of my glove, I’d be pissed

Shesterkin should be the Hart front runner at this point. Everything about the Rangers says they should be bad but he’s almost single-handedly holding them together. Him, and the PP.

So last night there was some clock f***ery in Columbus. Bruins were leading 4-3 in regulation. The puck dropped at 30.7 seconds and a good 2-3 seconds of actual play time happened before they resumed the clock. CBJ ended up tying the game with 1.8 seconds left and got a point.

Hopefully they don’t catch anyone but if they were to pass you guys by 1 point, that would be some serious BS.

Saw that. It was such an obvious error it’s strange the league didn’t take action to correct it at the time. It wasn’t like other close calls like deciding if they blew the puck on an icing call 2.4 or 2.1 seconds left… this was almost a full three seconds that elapsed before the clock started.

People bet real money on this league. It’s nuts.

It was wild. I thought it was just tv error but one of our go-to Mods informed the board that all the TV clocks are synced to the time keeper box. This was the biggest crowd CBJ has had since it was Rick Nash night so maybe some shit like that factored in. Like you said, wild this happens in a professional league where money is involved (didn’t even think of that).

But wanted to just throw it out there here since they’re technically chasing both of us and every point matters. Good luck the rest of the season!

If we are within a point either way with CBJ at the end of the season, I honestly won’t care.

I'm sorry if I'm late on this, but those Seattle Kraken uniforms...I mean, was there any thought put into them whatsoever? Easily the worst looking unis in the league.

Fleury also recently told the Blackhawks he doesn’t want to be moved

I’ve changed my stance on MAF, I don’t actually want us to trade for him. He’s been getting torched all season because of the horrible Hawks D in front of him, and he’s indicated that he wouldn’t want to play for us because he feels conflicted due to the past rivalry with us.

Let Pittsburgh trade for him, hopefully he shits the bed for them one more time.

I genuinely don’t think he wants to be moved and I wouldn’t be shocked if he calls it a career after this season. He has his cups and now it seems like not uprooting his family is his priority.

That’s fair, he has nothing left to accomplish. He has the championships and the money already. I wouldn’t want us to go all in for a guy who isn’t committed to give everything he’s got to win the Cup in Washington.

The away pops, the home needs work.
I like the homes a lot. I'm a big fan of using the logo color as your secondary color on the jersey (since that color is already prominently featured on the logo crest, obviously), which they do. And then they absolutely nail it with the subtle red accents, pulling the red from the logo into the lines on the jersey that create definition and visual interest.
