I’ve mellowed on Crossman over the last half decade. After suffering through Schultz, AMac, Mandog and the hell that is still Hagg, I have a new appreciation for Crossman.

Crossman, minus the 88 playoffs, was pretty solid during most of his run in Philly.

First of all, Crossman was a horribly maligned good hockey player - the criticism of him in general was always brainless. But secondly, what does it have to do with Sandstrom?

I have no idea what it has to do with Sandstrom. Yeah Crossman was maligned during much of his time in Philly mainly due to his lack of physical play.

For the most part he played well. Not great, I’ll reserve that for the Howe/Beast pair, but good. He did though dog it in his final playoff run. I know he was beat down by Keenan, but so was much of the team. He should have manned up and played better.

But compared to some of the garbage that’s played D here over the last 8 years or so, he’s a hall of famer!

As hated Flyer of days gone by...

I've always seen Sandstrom as the non Flyer and Crossman as the historical Flyer hated in threads elsewhere :)

Seeing other teams picking up either enforcers or players who need to be enforced, we have decided that we, too, should have an enforcer. Not just someone to protect our interests on the ice, but also those wherever else this multiverse ends up. With that in mind, the Los Angeles Whalers are pleased to select, as their Dealer's Choice pick, the greatest enforcer of all time.

The Las Vegas Desert Ducks are extremely proud to select one of the most iconic automobiles in the history of entertainment... The '84 Sheepdog.

This is the 1984 Ford Ecoline that was outfitted by one, Harry Dunne, for his job at Mutts Cutts before eventually being fired and using it to drive cross country so that his friend Lloyd Christmas can return a briefcase to the love of his life. This will be our Shaggin' Wagon.

This movie will always make me laugh.

Shout Out to the Plats.
