OK, makeup pick time. Or regular pick since @Striiker is MIA.

It would be really handy to have this guy living next door.

??????????????????

oh I see what happened here:
I'm unsure when I'm going to be able to pick. Gotta watch football, gotta go to Target for some reason, do laundry, make GDT. Next up can go. I think that's...@Striiker!

Fast Striker! Furious Striiker! Familial Striiiker!

Looking up a picture for this took me to the company's wiki page where I only now just realized they're still in business, though not in the form I remember them for.

This never worked as an energy drink for me for hockey, but was the absolute best for me as an energy drink for soccer. There's no reason why there would be a difference other than that young people are stupid.

This shit was so delicious, but the concept never had a chance. A carbonated energy drink is completely illogical, so it's easy to see why it failed.

In their nostalgia, the Seattle Sockeyes are thrilled to select All Sport Lemon/Lime.

I haven't spent much time in the Phillies thread during the stretch drive. Is @DancingPanther still dancing on his own?

My mom used to buy this stuff for us back in the day. Preposterous idea to carbonate a sports drink, but I can confirm that it was delicious.

Sports are a roller coaster, innit.

We start the day with @Striiker on the clock, @CanadianFlyer88 on deck, @DancingPanther on the lido deck, and pit on the lido afterdeck.

The Dolphins scored 70 f***ing points. That's ridiculous. And their head coach was high as balls the whole time. Amazing.
I need a google eye version of Rowdy roddy piper taking off the glasses from the movie they live. For reasons.

Team Century/Country - 2100's USA

This team is focused on the future, not the past like some other horrible franchises.

I KNOW I don’t know this but I feel like I do. The names so generic enough I should have ran into it multiple times in my lifespan but I know I never have.
This is such a weird feeling.

Exactly my thought, Bernardo. Your neighboring nation stinks.

We start the day with @DancingPanther on the clock, @pit on deck, @ajgoal on the lido deck, and Asnito on the lido afterdeck.

I thought about something when I heard the new Monday Night Football song last night. I don't have anything against Chris Stapleton or Snoop, and I like that lady drummer (even though she has terrible taste - she both played with Lenny f***ing Kravitz, that thief, and married Carlos Santana), but there really is no good reason for that song to be played in the background of anything ever again. The original use of it in "Miami Vice" is very probably the best and most appropriate use of a song in the history of using songs. It perfectly set the stage for the most iconic show of the 80s, and one of the all-time greats, and any time it is used now it really pales very badly in comparison. No one seems to notice, because it has been used over and over.

Maybe the second-most iconic use of a song is "In Your Eyes" in "Say Anything," with the famous boombox, but Cameron Crowe leaned on the music so hard in all of his work afterwards that he lost everything else in his filmmaking toolbox. But that, as they say, is a story for a whole nuther day. Today is for "Ahsoka," even though I won't watch it until tomorrow.

COVID update: things are more positive -- the good kind -- now with everyone. Mrs. Parent's father worsened considerably over Sunday: the doctor on the phone said he had also developed pneumonia and, with his history of prostate cancer (in remission now), she was suggesting that we discontinue treatment. Lots of tearful, desperate prayers ensued and we had his will out to check on what the limitations of heroic measures were. Mrs. Parent requested that ICU give him the maximum of treatment and a respirator and we would make a decision the next day. He responded somewhat and was able to call Mrs. Parent twice yesterday to talk. Not out of the woods but MUCH better than previous.

Mrs. Parent is going in to receive remdesivir, which is intended to help blunt her COVID. And I just feel like I have a cold.

1 star for COVID. Do not recommend.

I don't drink energy drinks.

However, I do enjoy a good rage now and again.

Since in the Quackverse we will be leaving behind a primary rage source in our current Philadelphia Sports Team, I will need a replacement as not everyone has the naturally occurring and bottomless well of rage that Captain has.
