I don't think of the 49ers much when they are bad, but when they start to threaten to do something, my dormant white-hot hatred wakes up.

We start the day with @JojoTheWhale on the clock, @GKJ on deck, @Lord Defect on the lido deck, and mja on the lido afterdeck. As to the latter's question above, we will do call-ups and fill in our roster blanks when we have less exhilarating categories in front of us and when I am less sick of drafting players. We just had that nightmare expansion draft, and I am not ready to deal with more hockey shit yet. But we will do it at some point. Also, it's not like we are in the Quackverse yet. You could always have your Futureheads practicing with your big-league squad - just do it in the privacy of your own mind, because I don't want to hear about it right now.

I'm pretty sure I heard some deep-throated growling just outside my door last night. When I lived in Bangkok, that meant one thing. Out here in the wilderness, it means the f***ing bear is trying to move in with me. It could have been the cats growling at one of the thieving opossum rascals, but it sounded too baritone to be the cats. Speaking of which, yesterday I walked outside in my bare feet and I stepped in three things in quick succession. Know what they were? A dead mouse, a pile of chicken diarrhea, and a different pile of chicken diarrhea. #RecluseLife is mostly fine, but rooming with a bear and walking through corpses and shit is not cool.

I thought for sure this franchise was taken, but it is technically available despite both of its main characters being exactly where they should be. If Cap had not taken this category yet, I probably would have held off a bit.

A gun used simply for destruction doesn't fit the M.A.D. Cats franchise. What we're looking for is the equivalent of the RANCH power ring. Something limited only by your imagination.

Although the Transmogrifier started as a cardboard box, Calvin upgraded it to a Transmogrifying Gun in the strip seen here:

That's right, we're selecting the Washington Generals fans. These unlovable straight men have an all-time record against the Harlem Globetrotters of roughly 3 Wins and 19,000 Losses. No one roots for them. No one likes them. They're so boring you can't even write up an interesting description of their exploits. It's future-proofed perfection.
