Prospect Info: NHL Entry Draft thread: LA Kings select Quinton Byfield 2nd Overall (Part 3)

So what you are saying is the Sens are looking to trade up for Byfield.

The Kings are engaging OTT to see who they prefer and people within the Kings org. feel OTT prefers QB. The whole talk about OTT settling for either or is because they have no choice, really. The Kings are giving OTT the chance to pick who they want, but it will cost.

He didn't say that

he said this
Not an Insider at all. Just heard some stuff from someone related to a scout. Just passing along what is going on behind the scenes, and yes, everything you have heard is REAL. Kings are trying to get OTT to bite on 3rd OA, 28OA plus 2nd round pick for 2nd OA. Kings might settle for 3rd. and 28th.

Blake and Yanetti are ultimately going to make the final call, as of now the Kings are not set on either player. If the Kings get a deal they like, it's Stuetzle, if not, it's QB. Have fun everyone!

and then he said this

Why would the Sens tell the Kings who they prefer? Makes zero sense.

But I guess if LA take Byfield you will victory lap regardless that many Kings insiders have proclaimed him to be the pick prior to you even being on this website.

Awesome.

They didn't, I said the Kings org. feels OTT prefers QB and that being the case they engaged them to see what they would be willing to give up to get him. Not saying it's gonna happen, not saying it won't. Just posting what I hear. Again, I'm no Insider.

Also, I been roaming this fan page probably longer then most of you, true story.

There are people within the organization pushing for TS and Blake is listening. Stay tuned!

I haven't really said anything negative yet but posts like this do hurt your credibility and make you look like you are thirsty for attention. When you do things like "Stay Tuned!" It makes you sound like a kid just messing around. Not trying to personally attack you but just saying the style looks suspicious and you did yourself no favors with it.

Better to just stay silent than try to feed some false narrative for attention. Also, at the end of the day, having a relative or a friend of a scout is not really a deep connection for information. There are a lot of low level scouts in an organization.

You are right, some posters are throwing me under the bus so I decided to be silly. I'll just sit back like everyone else and watch everything unfold.

"Silly" -- oh my smh. At least you are helping me pass the time waiting for the clock to slowly roll towards 4pm.

I can confidently say that Rob Blake isn't changing his mind on the pick five hours before the draft. Come on.

Agreed, seems ridiculous to be flip flopping mere hours before the draft. I can't imagine them being as indecisive as my girlfriend trying to figure out what to order at Cheesecake Factory.

It's times like these where I really wish we still have Jon Rosen as our official insider.

Meh, disagree. He barely broke news and never gave inside scoop since he was directly affiliated with the team. I'm not sure why people here don't trust Hoven. He's the most plugged-in insider the Kings have. If he's saying the pick is Byfield, then I believe him.

I said this before, but what would happen if for some reason, the Rangers' GM might be on some sort of weird substance at the time he makes the #1 pick and he ends up picking either Byfield or Stutzle against all logic? What does the Kings do in this case? Have to pick Laf?

I've laid out what's on the table.

My brother-in-law's best friend was operated on by one of the Dodger's physicians back in 2017 who told him that Corey Seager was going to miss the upcoming World Series with a back injury. He played all 7 games.

I trust my brother-in-law, his best friend is a solid dude, his doctor's not going to lie to him, and the doctor is going to be pretty clued in when it comes to matters directly involved with his role with the team. Yet the information passed to me was wrong.

You don't gain credibility on a day old account by claiming the organization is leaning one way or the other when its 60-40 or closer, even if your sources are good.

I could easily open a new account, start posting that I'm related to one of the scouts and they're going Stutzle. At worst, 40% chance I'm right, 60% chance I never log in to that account again.
