The fact Tampa has 2 picks before the Canucks have 2 in this draft is unbelievable.

Been implying this would be the case for the past 2 years. We are essentially looking at a necessary rebuild towards 2025 once this team is capped out and lacking young talent. The outlook on D is pathetic.

It’s just insane. Like, I actually would have been fine with trading the first fir a good young player, and Garland isn’t honestly far off from that kind of player, but trading so much value to get rid of our expiring contracts is what kills me. Imagine if we miss the playoffs again next year? Then dumping those contracts would have been a waste.

The problem continues because you seem to think its so unfathomable I dont see the high end talent you see in Kent johnson and now i am misusing the word talent, thats where the argument keeps going with you and I keep banging my head against the wall because I simply dont see the high end talent you see, and you just cant fathom that opinion, I believe you even called the opinion absurd. But now your making the claim having an opinion is illogical because you disagree with it.

I cant put it anymore into black and white, clearly we see two different things when viewing this player, and the turcotte zegras example was not about talent, simply the reaction i received to your post reminded me of the reactions some fans provided when I claimed zegras was a far better hockey player and should go higher in the draft. I was not taking this talent argument into the discussion which seems to be a hill your willing die on. Simply that you calling out my opinion on a player, reminded me of those discussions. I wont ever tell someone there take and evaluation on a player is absurd, especially a prospect.

Ok, I think it's time to exit this conversation: This was always _only_ about perceiving the talent KJ had. You are saying it doesn't exist. Near everyone else is saying it's about his only quality. The only reason he was valued at all.

That’s funny, I was going to predict that they waste this pick on a goalie but got distracted.

5 rounds in they have added 0 defenders and 0 centres to a system that already had nothing at either position, which are usually considered the two most important.
