Rangers didn't draft Chaz Lucius or Red Savage, so it's an automatic loss. Can't come out of the draft with a win if you can't get players with names like that.

Are we never supposed to draft goalies for 3-4 years down the road? Do you see what awful goaltending did in the playoffs? Did you see who won the Con Smythe? Shesty wants like 6 mil. Are we happy paying him that type of money after 47 NHL games?

Thats not what im saying. If we are to take a goalie it should have been wallstahd or someone better. This Tayln chick is 6'8 there are NO goalies in the NHL that are worth a damn over 6'6. Hugo boss and Tayln are never going to be even ahl players in this league. They are wasted picks right now.

Boyko is part of the master plan to fool Lil Stevie.

He heard we were head-over-heels for a 6'7 goalie in the WHL and so he traded up in order to leapfrog us and take Cossa.

Jokes on him!!!

We seem to be cornering the market on 6'7 to 6'8 bum goalies. When youre that big you cant play goalie. You lateral move sucks, and bc he is that big he will be on his knees all the time, leaving the top shelf wide open and guys in the nhl can shoot and hit that top corner. Even a bum George Parros can hit the top corner without an issue. Hugo and Talyn are wastes

He's a hard worker, but there are doubts about he has the talent to overcome the deficiencies.

Sounds like a risk worth taking compared to picking another goalie. We got Shesterkin for the next decade or so.

I wasn't talking about this pick in general and my post wasn't directed at you. It's just every time we draft a goalie it's a running joke. If we would have drafted Wallstedt in the 1st like we should have the complaining would have been worse than it's been the last 2 days.

Now that cooler heads have prevailed, i dont mind all these picks. I get that we have alot of elite high end talent but i feel like we are trying to get guys in the drury mold. Plays both ends of the ice, hard physical players to play against. Should be great to hopefully put them on lines with our big boys to open up space and be there lunchpail guys. This draft sucked to begin with so hopefully these guys turn into something. But yes in my opninon about goalies since i played goalie is that height is a negative and these massive goalies are just wasted picks. I believe Cossa is a waste too. Hes to big but we will see

I'm fine with taking a goalie every draft. I've honestly said I would do the same thing. IMO a cost-controlled goalie is very important in competing

I just dont like the goalie selected. Being big is great but not being Athletic in modern NHL is meh. From all I've heard they would have taken Cossa if we weren't leap frogged by Detroit... I would have loved that pick

You think so? I don't know about that. He played a total of 47 games and wants 6 mil plus he has been injured multiple times in his short career.

Yes, and it would be nice to get goalies who come over here before they're almost 24 years old.
