I'd probably have him later in the third.

He has a very clear role, a very clear path. But the upside is somewhat limited. If EVERYTHING comes into place, maybe you get a third line forward. Most likely you're projecting him as a fourth line center, maybe Kyle Chipchura. If it doesn't progress, maybe more like Brodie Dupont.

yeah I should have looked deeper. Definitely a draftable player. Glad they took a center but wish the upside was a bit higher. Hope for the best I guess

I think it depends on who is on the board.

Kind of like the re-occuring theme of the last few days, it's not the players its the asset management.

I would argue, your frustration is about the Buch trade and perhaps the Goodrow contract details. But not the drafting so much.

honestly the large contingent of this board that deep throated the islanders all year deserve this

you want to run an org where muh truculence and things and stuff is better than skill? then that’s what we’re doing. have fun!

We're seeing this at forward right now, but not defense.

If its an across-roster theme though, I'd say that decreases the chances of Schneider going anywhere, and increases the chances that Jones, Reunanen, and perhaps Nils are moved.

I would argue that with the picks they have made so far, it is clear that the Goodrow contract and Buch trade were not enough to get Tom Wilson out of their system

there’s a difference between complaining about a lack of toughness and this. this is taking that complaint and going to the extreme with it.

All I ask is, please no Tarnstroms. I don't mind that in the last two drafts we seem to have rediscovered the rangier Canadian kids again.

I can't help but think. that Drury is being exposed for not having a scouting staff in place and being taken advantage of by being a rookie GM and not having assistant GM.

@Edge How hands-on is Sather right now? How many of these transactions are Sather-directed?

Anything else was never an option. How many legitimately skilled players are there with "toughness"

Buch had an edge, but he wasnt tough enough for a lot of the people complaining for more. A Marchand or Wilson are some of the rarest players out there. Getting those kind of players was never an option and everyone should have known that when they were begging for more tough
