Seems like they want to bundle the NHL Awards and the Draft together so they are changing the day the draft is to accommodate that. It's a good idea to bundle the events but it should be over the weekend and not in the middle of the week. Maybe that happened due to arena availability?

Just heard them say on NHL NETWORK that next year the draft and awards night will be on the same day.

That seems like a mistake. It'd overshadow one or the other and that isn't fair to the players being drafted or the ones winning awards.

I agree , no need to steal the thunder from these kids. I love draft day coverage, such good feeling and the interviews great kid’s terrific story’s. Keep it separated.

One of the highlights of draft day are the interviews with the draftees , if you’re looking for character this kid Will Smith has it in spades. And not a bad hockey player either.

You can bet on draft picks, but not in NY. Also the odds would be so silly (like 1,000 to win 50 cents) if it's on the board at all.

Not sure but the odds would be so low it was probably like betting $100 to make .25 cents.
