Verbeek isn’t big on that either though. He traded away Deslauriers and Manson and didn’t replace that toughness.

Leo has the higher offensive potential, higher IQ and is a puck hound, and knows where to go. He can easily adapt a more physical game with his size.

Could it be? Verbeek has the Philly 76ers plan of accumulating 1st overall picks forever? He didn’t get his 1st overall so he’s decided to tank another year for Celebrini. So when Fantilli demanded to be playing in the NHL, whereas Carlson willing to play in the SHL or AHL… it swung the decision for Verbeek.
