A shame. Quinn is going the way of Kirby Dach at this point. Kid is made of glass.

I feel like the Hawks probably sat down with those 2 and asked them directly and off the record if they were involved far before hand. If there was even a chance then they probably send them to Rockford or something.

There was no chance the Hawks were risking those guys being involved. Hockey world is small. I'm sure everyone knew about this years ago, and knew who was involved.
The Flames claiming Dube was granted a leave of absence for mental health and said they had no idea Dube was tied to the 18 sexual assault proves one of two things. The Flames are really f***ing stupid or the Flames think everyone else is really f***ing stupid.

Yeah, that press release read like they were trying to exonerate themselves more than anything.

And here's the thing, maybe they didn't know for sure until a few days ago. But when a guy takes a leave of absence at the exact same time that four other guys take a leave of absence as news is breaking that five people are about to be charged for a heinous crime, maybe put two and two (or one and four) together? Dumbasses.

And, to be clear, I'm not presuming guilt. But it was pretty damn obvious that he was going to get charged.

To be fair, (not that I believe the Flames) Dube was the first to do so, and it was a couple of days before the others took their leave, I'm pretty sure.

Think the plan is how they refuse to relocate the Yotes because of expansion fees. But they probably will be OK dissolving the team in a year

I was wrong about Patrick Laine as to the cause of his sabbatical. I was quick to assume that his getting help from the NHL assistance program was related to substance abuse ... it now seems clear that this is not the case. My sincere apologies to Patrick - I hope he gets rid of his demons and returns to the NHL soon.

That’s a phenomenal return for a rental. Especially one that hasn’t been playing all that well
