You get used to it pretty quickly assuming you have two good eyes. Your brain lets you ignore the bars much like you don't see your nose unless you try.

Is there a stigma in men’s league that you’re some sort of p***y for wearing a cage? I don’t get why people wouldn’t wear one. Your eyes see past the cage bars.

Hockey is getting better but it's still a very stupid sport unfortunately.

Used to be. Now the stigma is against those not wearing a cage. Because those people are generally idiots or wannabe tough guys.

I haven't played regularly in awhile but this is good to hear.

Im sure you have all seen that Adam Johnson, former NHL/AHL guy, from Minnesota originally, took a skate to the neck in his EIHL game. Former Hawks prospect Jake Ryzcek is on that team. Based on what I read of the situation and how it transpired... I would be shocked if he makes it. Hoping for a miracle.

I believe Mats Sundin said that when he had visor, he was hit on the head with sticks more often than the time when he wasn't wearing visor. That's why he didn't use one in last seasons he played.

Can't even imagine what the family is going through. He played with Joey Anderson (as well as Neil Pionk, Dominic Toninato and Alex Iafallo) in college as well. My heart goes out to all effected by this horrific tragedy. RIP young man.
