That would require an insane amount of luck considering he's been declining for years
I think he's been solid for us, especially considering his first year was under King and we tanked this year. Gotta give him the benefit of the doubt.

At what age do you think he would no longer be capable of playing in a top 4 role on a playoff team? Or do you already consider him unfit?

Read today that the Blackhawks denied the Penguins the right to interview Associate GM Jeff Greenberg. He’s the former Cubs guy that interviewed for the Hawks GM job.

Im less intrigued by the fact that the Blackhawks said no than the fact that the Penguins ownership group flagged him as a candidate. Maybe there’s something to him…

I guess he was so impressive during the interview process they legitimately considered hiring him for the GM job here with no hockey experience

Man, I don't get old people. I can't wait to retire, and I'm not even forty.
I have got 3.5 years before retirement and I am counting the hours down. No way and no matter how much they offer. I have been working since I was delivering papers at 10yo. I am ready to be done. Lou must just have not much going on personally.

Tonight, is the end of Yotes saga

Either the vote passes, and they move to Tempe permanently in a few years or it fails, and they are leaving (Houston seems to be most likely destination though SLC and elsewhere could be in mix)

Voters rejected arena deal

(Majority of votes are in)

Time for move to Houston? SLC?

NHL has done everything to try to save franchise, there is no alternative but to leave at this point

Looking at actual proposal the deal was actually pretty good including the Yotes paying costs of cleaning up toxic landfill

Alot of the opposition was based on "Dont fund billionaire" nonsense that wasn't true or was only partly true via usual business deals with tax breaks/benefits, etc

Now the toxic landfill will remain and its costs to cleanup are more than it's worth as property so very unlikely to see any developer with interest in it

Feel bad for Yotes fans, but am intrigued on where they (likely) relocate to and what that franchise turns into (doubt they'd stick with Yotes).

Salt Lake City may be destination IMO now that I think more about it

Remember this a few weeks ago from Jazz owner

One would think NHL had to have some planning in place in event this vote failed

Sucks for Coyotes fans, their fans are solid despite having had to put up with a lot over the years.

But, alas, there just aren't a lot of them. These passing when there was obviously going to be an organized campaign against them when a majority of the city isn't attached to the Yotes seemed like an obvious longshot.

I live down here and I just don’t see enough fans to sustain to be honest. I thought it would pass but alas I will have to go elsewhere to see Hawks games most likely.

Sucks for Coyotes. Like this rest of you, I believe this was the end of Coyotes staying in ARI. I don't think it will be Salt Lake, I think it will be Houston they move to.

So in essence Tempe voters chose atoxic dump over tge Yotes...nice way to give them the boot out of Arizona!
