Q has the second most wins all time. Him I get. I think what he did was gross but people not caring doesn't surprise me.

The Stan stuff is baffling. Like why take the PR hit for that guy?
The Old Boys Club is so entrenched in the league they'll bring back a guy linked to a rape scandal within his organization who completely floundered for 5 years after winning Cups. If there's ever a time for some fresh blood this is it

Q's reaction from that meeting is enough for me to say no way to him being back in the league.

Even if you could SOMEHOW ignore Bowman being part of that . . . just based off of his last few years (and whole tenure as GM) in Chicago, why the f*** would anyone want to hire him?!?

But if they do . . . We have a place to offload Seth Jones when we don't need the contract to hit the floor anymore

Stanley acquiring Seth Jones for Pittsburgh because he believes their core can still compete would be a move so hilarious that it couldn't be put into words

It would be SO glorious
It's funny too because it's plausible.

Pittsburgh would easily be able to make the cap work, and as long as that core is there they probably won't go into a rebuild. And there's no one more qualified to spearhead a delusional playoff run with an aging core than Stan Bowman.

Seth Jones for Owen Pickering here we come!

PIT would actually do pretty well with Seth Jones on their team. Jones is at worst a very good #3 on a playoff team. If he'd waive to play with Sid and Geno (and UFA Kane :naughty: ) they'd probably be a comfortable playoff team next season.

RIP

First Czech to defect to NA to play in NHL

Was an enigma in a way, Sorta a Kovalev before Kovalev

Flashed so much talent but was inconsistent.

He was one of the better players on TB teams near end of his career and helped them reach first postseason in franchise history

A very enjoyable player to watch

Gerard Gallant is and always has been a mediocre hockey coach. That’s why he never lasts more than 3 years at any stop.

I'd say Gallant and Darryl Sutter bring something good for disaster team because teams play 1 good season when they come in but then teams start declining very quickly. Good choices for teams that try to save rest of the season but not good for long term choices.

Going to be really really hard to come back after missing two seasons. What a disaster for Colorado's championship window.

They are very lucky they were able to win one last year. Sucks for them and their fans, but at least they did win a chip. Other fanbases would gladly take that (cough... Leafs... cough).
