Retaining 50% is a given. Add in taking salary back and it’s a no brainer. The ONLY hurdle is whether or not Kane ends up wanting to be traded and which teams he wants to go to. The cap will workout with anyone

We will be retaining 50% no matter what. So it's a 5.25mil cap hit in a deal.

CGY - deadline space of 6mil, could trade us Lucic in exchange and take full hit.
COL - have 1.5mil in deadline space, could take on Compher in return to get closer to the 5mil in space.

Those two teams could do it, without any injuries occurring and assuming they would trade a Lucic or Compher to even out the cap hit. Other teams interested that were listed would have to have a high salaried player suffer an injury that keeps them out until the playoffs to make it work.

Just saw the pictures of the Coyotes home locker room for tonight's game. Not one to crap on a fanbase that's been dealt 2 7 off suit in perpetuity but yeesh that's a bad look.

Looks just like both locker rooms in Tampa (for a full season when they played at the fairgrounds. Then of course the Bolts moved to the “THUNDERDOME” (baseball stadium) where it was said to be 1/4 mile from dressing room to ice.
All the purists pushed for them to move because of course hockey can’t survive in a warm weather climate.
Look at how they can’t seem to get those last 100 to 200 tickets sold. No way they survive long term
It was an ownership issue then too. Once they had a committed owner AND a place to play things have gone ok, I think.

If you put a good team on the ice attendance will take care of itself.

Erik Karlsson will never be a good defensive player but he has seemingly regained his offense (and is healthy) to the point where he could be the comeback player of the year.

Toronto just got a ton of one sided officiating including a laughable goalie interference no goal and still lost in OT to Anaheim. Seats gotta be getting warm in Toronto.

Trotz probably already got a call. That is, if Dubas doesn't get a can tied to him along with Keefe.

You shouldn't be able to challenge that far after the fact but you absolutely want refs calling it loose unless they're absolutely sure.
But the ability to have it overturned is why they call it loose.
If you blow it down and you’re wrong it can’t be corrected.
Let ‘em play and it can be fixed.
I also have no problem with the amount of time. If the zone entry that lead directly to the goal was actually offside it shouldn’t matter if it was 4 or 40 seconds before the goal was scored.

Nah, that's only half of it. Location is crucial.

If the Bolts were winning Cups at the Trop, people still wouldn't go, just as nobody goes to Rays games. Coyotes could have a dynasty in Glendale and still only get 75% on weeknights, the drive from the East Valley is that bad.

Being dog shit for two decades is the bigger factor but yes logistics are important.
