You moral saints make me sick. Check your own closet, buddy.

This board is about hockey. Stick to it.

Not a moral saint by any means. Just not a trash human, and not a defender of trash humans. Amazing that you speak to morals as if they're a bad thing, though.

Maybe if this little piece of shit Miller had any morals, whatsoever, he wouldn't have tortured another human being the way he did for years.

It would be interesting to go back a few years to the thread about Kane and the cab driver. I'm willing to bet that it was the same squeaky-clean folks who were all over Kane at that time. Get a f***ing life!

People could, and did, rail on Kane for assaulting someone. For good reason, too.

But that’s still just one f*** up. Literally nobody would be talking about this douche if he beat up a classmate once, and if you can’t see the difference you have bad blinders on.

We all are equally spending an excessive amount of time on this hockey board here.

And Kane and his cousin or buddy were pretty stupid.

But this Mitchell case is one where people say, oh he apologized... yet the family has stated no he really never did. He's called it a mistake but not for what it was

I've done some stupid shit as a teen. But I also constantly regret all of it.

But I have never done half the deranged shit this kid did. And he has never shown any real remorse for it, which is a necessary step before people decide to forgive and forget.

It's insane that some people are defending him here.

People STILL make cabbie jokes on the internet whenever Kane’s name is brought up. It goes with the territory of living with your actions, even as a young man.

It’s not like Mitchell teased a kid for a few years and was called out on Twitter for it. He did something really despicable to someone who can’t defend himself and he did it continuously for years.

We all do things we’re not proud of Bobby but part of being a man is dealing with those consequences for as long as you have to. But this is all moot, he still got drafted, still gets to play on a NHL team. He IS getting another chance

There are plenty of jobs that you remove yourself from eligibility based upon past behavior. Embezzle money? You probably won't even work in anything finance-related ever again. Commit crimes? Probably won't ever be a cop or a lawyer. I could go on and on.

Nothing says his future is only scrubbing toilets, that's just a tad bit hyperbolic... But based upon his actions, how do you thrust someone like that into a potential role model situation as many athletes are?

The shit this kid did was disgusting. Actions have consequences. We're taught that our whole lives. Why is it any different for this person because he's good at hockey?
So he can't be hockey player since it is so important job but he should work on, what? scrubbing is beneath him, so that leaves?

You have a disappointingly low ceiling for what makes someone a moral cop.

And, again, everyone was talking hockey. You’re the one oddly defending a certifiable jackass, which of course elicits a response.
I believe people should get second chances especially when they f***-up at such a young age.
I don't believe a person should pay for a mistake for the rest of their lives. Obviously, some of you do.
I don't believe in piling on to a person who is down. Some of you folks have demonstrated repeatedly that you do.
According to a few that must mean I have skeletons in my closet. That I must be a bad person.
Look in the mirror folks. Live and let live.
