You know you suck when your flex is “well we almost beat a good team but lost.”

It’s the Leafs M.O. They almost hang on versus whomever they play. They’re never good enough to advance, but never bad enough to be an easy out.

Pick another Eastern team and the Leafs would’ve lost In seven to them, too. Up to them to prove me wrong.

I'm no fan of the Leafs but I believe you are incorrect about the current club. It was unfortunate for them that the dumb playoff format had them up against the defending SC champions in the first round.

Haters gonna hate... logic be damned.

Logic be damned? They’re built to win in the regular season and crumble when it matters most with that defense and goalie play. That’s not even getting into their track record of choking.

I’m not betting on a team come playoff team with guys like Muzzin and Brodie getting top pairing minutes. Not to mention Campbell after his amazing start to the season was pretty much garbage for what had to end up being close to half the regular season.

You're trying to use logic and facts to debate a Leaf apologist. That seldom goes well.

I guess you missed the series against TB .... or more like you're ignoring that Leafs gave the Lightning everything they could handle (that they pulled out largely because they have the best goalie in hockey) .... and no team has done it since. You're a hater as is this Giovi character. Face it.

Leaf apologist? ... LOL. I've been a Leaf basher for decades but this team is different.

I'm sure there will be an asterisk in all the record books, pointing out that while the Laffs couldn't get out of the first round, they gave the teams that beat them "all they could handle".

Their rebuild is a failure. The team has major faults in its composition and management seems to have no interest in correcting them, or doesn't know how to.

This Leafs team wasn't different than the last 2 years Leafs that lost to Montreal and Columbus.

They lost to a better goalie because they've continually constructed a terrible playoff roster. It's been pretty consistent this era if you want to win you need 3 scoring lines and 1 shut down line plus a solid top d core. They can't just role a 3rd line that should be a 4th line and a 4th line hodgepodge of aging vets and a tough guy and think that gets by in the playoffs

“This team is different.”

Lost in the first round again. So different.

Keep up the excuses, though.

Tampa Bay didn't even play their best hockey until Game 6 period 3 vs. the Leafs. Vasy was not great until Game 7. If this Tampa team showed up from Game 1 vs. the Leafs, the Leafs would have lost in 4 or 5 games.
