Bad player? I mainly play vs and I;m pretty sure I would stomp you.

In versus maybe

If you're a good player(and I have no reason to believe that you're not), wouldn't you rather surround yourself with other competent players, and face off against another team of competent players instead of just abusing the AI the entire game? Every versus game is the exact same because the AI is only programmed to do one thing. Once you exploit their weakness(because they literally can't adjust), it's so easy to score. That's what makes it enjoyable to bad players, they can score easily. I'm not saying everyone that plays versus is a bad player, just that it's a game mode designed to help bad players score more often. It's why every versus game between two good players is high scoring. Offense is so much easier than defense because the AI doesn't backcheck well, and the defensive AI just skates backwards and never closes the gap.

What is the ****ing point of buying the next gen version then? Not putting EASHL mode into the next gen version it is ****ing stupid.

I think the assumption is that GM Connected is gone as well due to the limited number of players online. I've never played the mode, but I know a lot of people really enjoy it. I like the concept, just haven't given it a shot really.

You're just gonna dodge what was really being debated about and bring up something completely irrelevant?

The fact that they've got a new presentation package in the game makes it better then NHL 14 regardless if you choose to enjoy them or not. You've also brought up gameplay, which noticeably looks better, and how can adding new features like puck physics, and more dekes take away anything from the gameplay that was previously played? It makes no sense, and there's no debating whether or not it's an upgrade in the literal sense or not, but rather whether it is marginal and worth the money, which is your opinion.

But is it that noticeably different? They re-added the players flopping around unable to get back up, boosted the shifty skate animation with the addition of a twitch of the wrists, and added BIG HITS (where have we seen those before?). Oh, and the revolutionary commentary "1 team, 3 goals!!1!". We'll have to see more game play... it looks slightly different, I wouldn't say "better" after this new video. That last one with the Bergeron penalty shot was incredible, but again, not game play.

Full time job, Master's Degree and working towards a Ph.D from one of the best universities on the planet and I'm upset that EASHL is likely gone. Please don't belittle those that enjoy the best game mode the EA NHL franchise has ever created.

What this tells me, is that nobody really knows what the hell is going on, and anybody saying that they have "sources", is likely lying. We'll find out next week once and for all.

That just reads as speculation to me.

What that article is referring to is a Moderator, not a community manager, posting in the forums that EASHL is in the game, which was later deleted.

A moderator has nothing to do with the game development, the only way he would know if he was told by someone at EA (which is entirely possible)

I think it more depends on the player. I have played over 200 games my GAA is 1.71 and I allow about 13 shots a game on the other hand my GF is a meager 2.47 I think it just depends on the style of everyone. Online Versus is extremely fun. Im more defensive minded than most online players. I agree there are games where I have to slug it out and get a 5-4 outcome of the game.

Well if it is in then EA has no idea how to package the games considering the cases the games come in clearly make it out that EASHL isn't included.

Really? it's not like it is for one game. Why does it matter what game you play? I only play NHL, what difference does it make if I decided to play 4 different games? I would still be playing the same amount of time between the games. Plus it's the future of the game and the console will be used for a long time. It's just disappointing that NHL is starting their title on the next gen consoles but there may be a lack of game modes (commonly played ones) that people play and look forward to.

Can I trade the junk to 360 for the good ****? They can have NBC crap and authentic arenas....I'll take EASHL, GM connected back please...

If they really are out, which that case is showing they are...I can't believe EA would pull that on next gen users...unreal..

I hate that new menu they have for NHL FIFA MADDEN too...awful IMO...needed change but bleh.

Winter Classic mode will not be missed. I played it once and then was done with it. Wasn't NHL 94 a one year thing for the 20th anniversary? Not sure why it would be expected to come back.

I'd hope they replace a mode or add a new one.

Big letdown by the commentators, i was expecting much more. The gameplay looks awesome, the skating looks sick, i just can't wait till i get my hands on it.

It was probably just a typo on the cover. I don't think that EA would remove one of their most played game modes from the game. They haven't said anything because they have everyone talking about the game. When they tell everyone that they didn't take EASHL out everyone will be a lot happier than if they knew it would be in the game from the beginning and more people will buy the game
