yeah those costco pics seem to confirm the no EASHL or Co-op or GM Connected for next gen rumours...

pretty god damn livid right now tbh. not being able to play with a friend at my place or be in a GM Connected league takes out about 75% of what I like about NHL games

I get a retro feel.

On one hand I like it. On the other hand the commentary is choppy and I hope they're just showing off the deking. It looks enjoyable but it doesn't look like what I thought it would.

Now let's hear about any changes to BAGM and I can start preparing for the PS4 purchase.

Overall I like the gameplay. Everything seems to happen a bit faster. My biggest concerns from that video are Doc's announcing(though admittedly I image video game commentary is very difficult to get right) and the physics. I hope the physics are tuned way up like they are in the demo every year. Around the two minute mark of the 2nd video should never happen. Two defenders go in the corner, hit a guy, then all three fall down I imagine the demo is going to have some hilarious moments where the physics are way off and everyone on each team is sprawling on the ice. I'm sure it won't be like that for the actual release.

Doc is all about emotion of the moment. It's really hard to recreate his emotion with pre recorded one liners. Overall it's still good and we'll all get used to it and like it until it becomes old and want something new.

He calls the game more quickly in reality. Whoever produced the recording sessions did a terrible job of directing Doc.



This seems like a downgrade from Thorne. EA did a far better job with him. Scoring a goal in the dying seconds of a game was splendid.

Doc sounds bored. He sounds like he's calling golf or soccer. EA should have told him to approach it as if it was a real match. He sounds as though he knows it's just a video game. Ferraro nails his lines, though. He sounds like his usual lecturing self.

You mean mostly AI defenders who stand around doing nothing or the players switching to them too late? Or how most of the goals involve deking through sticks/skates?

I don't see any sign of progress from '13. The dynamic cloth ******** looks terrible on Crawford. The skating if anything looks more unnatural. The first goal in the second video is a stupid joke. There's all kinds of dangling and players falling down everywhere unable to get up and nothing resembling real hockey. I mean really watch Sharp with the puck at around 2:10 of the second video and tell me that's a reasonable representation of hockey.

I mean the user controlled players going for multiple hip checks, No gap control, Giving the skater about 30 yards of space to do what ever. Going for the big open ice hits. You also failed the notice the back check by the AI vanek at the 1:40 mark of the first video. Or the user playing defense when the caps score with .1 second left. Like wtf is that. They should have had a video of one person playing the CPU to see how it really looks Not two morons that don't understand the concept of defense

Ya this pretty much all but confirms it sadly. I guess there is still a chance but we will have to wait and see.

That was brought up before and people questioned it as well and blew it off as "Bestbuy/Walmart don't know what they are talking about it can't be legit". Now Costco actually has an image of what looks like is the back of the case that confirms it.

I'm guessing its because they didn't really think it over or they didn't want to just put 2 player online.

I think it looks pretty great personally. Some minor nitpicks, but the presentation is certainly done very well. Graphics look good as well. Now just give us the game modes we want.

Doc usually calls the game twice as quickly as we're seeing in NHL 15.



Listen to how many words he tries to jam into his speech when calling live games. The pace is just so much quicker.

Sooo on the site, the pictures are the same for 360 and XBone. Authentic arenas for pre-gen confirmed? Also, no Ray Ferraro for pre-gen? Seems weird if there's any kind of back and forth between Eddie and Ray. Just gonna be long periods of silence for when Ray's supposed to speak.

That first goal looked terrible with the Avs player falling over/tripping up. Goalies also get into the same old and stupid save animations.
