Jerseys do look pretty strange but I like the idea

Skating looks much improved and guys seem to get into open space (see the last goal). Also like the way the puck behaves.

Looks great IMO, if all the game modes are in I'll be ecstatic.

The moving camera will take some getting used to.

Looked pretty good. Anybody disappointed with the choppiness of the commentary? They talked about Doc and Eddie flowing with the game but other than the call right at the end("look at this! Score!"), it really didn't seem that way. Felt like I was listening to Jim Hughson in the old games where the tone or voice would sway drastically.

Other than that, the game looks good, the presentations is good, crowd is a nice touch, but clearly the gameplay and player movement has barely been touched.

edit; oh and the camera angle was excellent.

Yeah it really feels that the commentary doesn't really feel all that exciting or add very much. I mean, it feels like they aren't even excited when the puck goes in.

I'm sure that if we weren't all so used to the commentary we've had for the past six or so years it would sound just as bad. Video game commentary is very hard to do well.

Hm. Some of the commentary lines sound great but some of them sound really awkward.

"Look at this"

Skating looks very fluid, but Doc sounds very odd at times. Still an improvement though.

Is the beginning where Doc and Eddie talk possibly a small stab at whole EASHL hysteria going on?

Also: Where the hell is "SCAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR"

Oh and it looks like they took at user celebrations based on the videos. Good. Those took me right out of the game.

edit; never mind. they're still in but look way better.

The gameplay looks good but there was no feel of dynamic speed in the Avs play which is basically our top advantage. That has been one of my criticisms of the game. The dynamic speed of some players doesnt seem to show up in game. Granted I dont think Dutchy or Mack were shown with the puck.

Or is that just me?

Edit - also why does all contact mean someone falls to the ice? Someone mentioned this above as well. Just because you touch someone doesnt mean you fall down...

This is exactly what I wanted and its shows us way more than any of the other trailers combined.

1) Commentary doesn't flow as good as I hoped but its not the end of the world
2) Jerseys may be over done a bit but I think it still visually adds to the game
3) I love the skating and the way players deke/sway around others
4) Leafs defense looked accurate

Physics are flat out AWFUL. At every contact someone falls.

They were going to focus on it more in the trailer since they are showing it off. Its going to be toned down/not as emphasized during the release. Its usually like that in these.

They played "Light 'Em Up" at the end of the second video... that will probably be in the game. Not surprised.

Presentation looks great, gameplay almost looks like a step backwards.

One thing I hate about EA, and they never learn this...is that every player should not be made the same. Legwand isn't Sidney Crosby or Alex Ovechkin, yet the most standard of players can be seen doing circles and deking like crazy. I guarantee on day 1 I'll be able to take Eric Gryba and dangle my way through a team.
