Doesn't make him a bad commentator. Everybody has taken a shot at the Devils' attendance at least once, it's only the guys who use it as their go to insult like the clowns in Pittsburgh that annoy me.

I remember one game in Newark a few years ago, the Devils had Pitt beat easily by the last couple of minutes, and during a lull in action Steggy was kind enough say, "pretty sparse crowd here tonight," followed by, "And the Penguins will get their usual police escort out of Newark."

The intense butthurt you could hear from his voice was fantastic.

I dated a girl from Pittsburgh for awhile who saw nothing wrong with the two of them. We talked hockey all the time, even after we broke up, but once we broke up I realized how much some Pittsburgh fans really buy all the **** those two nerds spout. Her opinions became more and more unbearable and it had nothing to do with the fact that she was an ex. Honest.

Funny thing I once dated a girl who liked the Pens also, but she was really a bandwagoner. I'm not even sure if both those guys were with the Pens crew back then, but they probably were. It was back in 08 during the Rangers/Devils playoff series. She was an idiot pretty much. She would make facebook updates like ''<3 Crosby!'' and ''Pens lost! ''

I also would give her my Sam Rosen impression with his great save by Lundqvist, and unenthusiastic save Brodeur calls.

She would randomly joke around with me, and send me text messages saying ''Save Lungkwist!'' ''Save Brodoor!'' because she was a dumbass and didn't know how to spell anybody's name except Crosby. The Pens annihilated the Rangers in the next round too!

How about their Hobey Baker plane crash joke during Marty's record breaking shutout game there? That was one of the most shocking things I've ever heard out of hockey commentators. I know they probably meant nothing by it, but it was extremely awkward.

I watch these online, streams of any sort available and every time we play the Pens its their feed. Seriously, ive watched some periods without the sounds, the guys are so freaking annoying its driving me up the wall. I feel they get some sexual satisfaction just from saying the name Crosby out loud, atleast thats how it sounds. "Crrrrraaaaaaasbbbii has the puck... Crrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaasbbbiiii shoots.." **** them.

Ya, it's depressing to think how much uninformed announcers can shape mistaken views by new hockey fans. That's what is perpetuating the trap myth.

The Bruins are pressed for cap space and the Isles are near the floor.
They can take on the extra $$ at no real cost to them, and it helps them stay above the floor.
