Larsson played 70 games this season, in no way is 70 hockey games a small number for a 20 year old to play.

In the shortened season how many games did he play? How many times was he sat instead of the veterans? He needs to be allowed to play and not worry about being benched. His mistakes arent different than Zid, Tallinder, Sal, etc but he always gets scratched or benched. Alls Im saying is he might hold it against us come contract time.

And we def need forwards 10x more than defensemen.

He needs to be handled however the coaching staff thinks is best. We're not in the locker room, nor in practice. If a 20 year old kid needs to ride the pine, I'm good with it. He's got the next 20 years to play 82 - and if it helps him now, it helps us later.

But I don't think you can make trades with other teams though? Signing a body is a little different.

From what I recall of the CBA language I think teams could. But there obviously would need to be set of special circumstances to trade for somebody that you couldn't use in the playoffs. It'd almost have to be a starting goalie injury + inexperienced backups + team on the playoff bubble. Don't think we'd ever see it, but it would be amusing to witness a trade after the deadline.

He played 2nd pairing minutes for 37 games. Larsson was scratched for the first 5 games of the season IIRC meaning he missed only 6 of the 43 remaining games.

If you need to be concerned about the way Deboer coached one of our young dmen, you should better pick Fayne.

Yeah I'm hearing he wants 5.5 per :amazed::amazed:

And we pay Andy Greene 3 mil, 2.5 more isn't bad, plus most of you guys act like cap is a problem for us. Because if we give Streit 5.5mil per year for two years, during those two years we are definitely going to be in cap hell right? I understand for money issues, but over paying for guys in the short term is not going to hurt us. Wish we would have gave Semin a try for 7mil.

Greene is significantly better than Streit at this point in both of their careers.

Streit is awful. He is not better than Zidlicky right now and he's pretty much as slow as Salvador.

Visors will be grandfathered in. Hybrid icing tested in NHL preseason. Shallower nets to be used next season. All subject to board approval

Additional video review for 4 min highsticking penalties is a large step in allowing vid review for other issues down the road.

Many things discussed in conjunction with mandatory visors. Helmets on for fights was discussed. Won't be enforced...yet.

Darren Dreger ‏@DarrenDreger 34s
Players who have played 26 or more NHL regular season or playoff games will not have to wear a visor under grandfather agreement.

All those changes sound positive to me at first thought.

The pilot of the Penguins flight to Boston said over the loud speaker "Is that Sidney Crosby in the back crying?".

Haha I read that it was the pilot of a flight full of the Boston media heading back to Boston. A baby was crying in the back, and the pilot asked if Crosby was crying over the PA system.

Still funny though!

The home jerseys remind me of a green Blackhawks jersey.
