I would respond to that stupid Drouin post but there isn't a point for a month.

Gonna be as good as Datsyuk though, Larsson sucks though.

I’d move larsson for drouin. it’d never happen, but I’d do it. no slight against larsson, but we have pretty solid depth at that position. a few of our prospects are bound to be top-4’s, with maybe 1 top pairing

I wouldn't do it. Larsson is a defenceman to build around. I am still confident that he will be our #1 for years to come if we hang onto him now.

someone unexpected will fall. it always happens.

Indeed. And I hope Lou is prudent enough to grab the one who does fall.

I have yet to hear anyone besides random negative Devil fans say that Larsson isn't going to be an elite defensemen. I know Ranger fans that see the star potential in the kid.

And that is something that really encourages me. If opposing fans can see the flashes of the future #1, then why is seemingly half our fanbase so down on the kid?

Since this is about Crosby i put it here but didnt really know where to put it.

But this is amazing stuff and i hope it really works not just for sports but for any one who has issues like this.

It's the machine credited for curing the concussion of NHL star Sidney Crosby. It's the machine Avalanche first-round draft pick Joey Hishon credits for helping him get back on the ice after nearly two years of conventional but fruitless medical treatment for a concussion.

Because we want goalz! We want goalz! When you have a young defenseman, you want goalz!

I think Larsson's going to be a very good defenseman for us.
But from what I have seen thus far I don't see a franchise #1 dman

Opposing fans who don't follow a player on a day to day basis may see glimpses of stardom but they don't notice the warts.

You could use me and my liking for Zuccerello as an example.

I did not watch many rags games but the ones I did he happened to play very well.

I am not saying I disagree with you that Drouin will turn out better than Larsson, but Larsson has at least proved he can play in the NHL and still has potential, I am sure Drouin can play in the NHL too, but nothing is proven, and weren't draft experts saying Larsson was going to be an elite defensemen before he was drafted.

Nah, draft experts said he was gonna be Sami Salo. :sarcasm:

I'm pretty sure you can trade players after the trade deadline too, they're just not allowed to play.

Lol wut?

Drunks thread is that away. ----->

Technically Eggers is very much correct. The deadline is to acquire guys who are eligible for the playoffs. In 2008, Peter Forsberg signed just before the deadline in order to be eligible for the postseason.

Last year, Tuukka Rask got hurt after the deadline. The B's decided to sign Marty Turco for the duration of the season rather than bring up one of their AHL guys. Turco was ineligible for the playoffs.

I'd actually find it funny if somebody did pull a trade after the deadline. I imagine it'd have to be similar to the situation that Boston faced. Something like the Islanders losing Nabokov with a week to go in the regular season. Would they have trusted Kevin Poulin to get them into the playoffs or would they have given up some marginal asset for somebody like a Nikolai Khabibulin?

And thats what Im afraid of. He sits a lot this year, isnt given chances to make mistakes, isnt used offensively, what happens? Im afraid he holds this against the organization. Like the no bonus thing, on paper it looks great but he's one step closer to UFA. I would hate to see him leave.

Carolina unveiled their new uniforms. They're okay I guess.

I'm more interested in Dallas' new uniform unveiling later today.

Which is exactly why we need to draft more defencemen.

Larsson played 70 games this season, in no way is 70 hockey games a small number for a 20 year old to play.
