Mikheyev was the type of player I expected the Isles to sign in the offseason. Not that I wanted him but he’s a Plan B player for clubs that can’t land the most desirable UFAs. I don’t recall anyone saying we were in on him but if we were, we dodged one there.

If we had him he’d have gotten a concussion and nobody would have stepped up for him.
