His contract should make him claim-proof. But man would I love to see Lou claim Nedeljkovic and give him some time at Camp Korn.

Some Yzerman lover on here was making that trade out to be the steal of the century. Guess…not.

Gino Odjick 52 Heart attack

Awful stuff. Guy outlived the predictions they initially gave him by quite a while.

"In the summer of 2014 a ghostly Odjick needed an oxygen tank to help him breathe and a walker to get him around the halls of VGH. Doctors were telling him he 'might' have a year left. A heart transplant was ruled out. So was a bone-marrow transplant. A round of chemo was ordered as a last desperate measure.

'You don’t think when you’re 43 years old they’re going to tell you you have one year to live,' Odjick said at the time. 'It was the last thing on my mind. There’s been a lot of soul searching.'"

Read article tonight that when Isles were running team like it was grammar school, one night the pre game meal was 20 pieces of chicken for 23 guys and he ate 8 of them

Good reminder that everyday is truly a gift.

Had a family member pass away out of the blue a couple months ago. Around the same age. You hear about people passing away way too early and it just makes ya think to enjoy the time you've got here because you never know when your time is up.

The Vancouver shitshow just shifted into high gear. The VP has officially undermined his coach.

I graduated high school in 1980. As of now, at least 36 out of 420 in our class have passed.
I know a few of our college buddies have passed. We were at Brooklyn College '77-81

My wife's parents were killed in a vehicular accident almost 30 years ago, a few years before I met her.

Gotta make each day count!!

Haven't really followed his progress this year (29 points in 42 games), but I thought he looked fantastic in the game against the Isles the other day.

Last season, he came up a little under halfway through the season in his rookie year as a pro and promplty went 15-24-39 in 47 games. Before that, he had 28 points in 24 career AHL games.

Right now, he's 6'2", 201 lbs. and 21-years old.

As a USNTDP grad and recent Boston College forward, seems like he's basically doing for Minnesota what we hoped Wahlstrom would do for us.
