He’s probably just trying to make Hayes better. Whether this is the right approach is debatable.Bellows for Hayes. Boy that Tortorella really knows how to run a team!

In the world of psychology they’d call that transference.Weird move to try and make a 30 year old, 9 year NHL veteran better by healthy scratching him.
Outside from all-time greats who continue to work on their game, I think Kevin Hayes is about as good as he's going to get at this point. And he's pretty darn good, considering he's near a point per game for a team who is in shambles.
The Flyers knew Hayes was soft when they signed him. Now they hired a coach who doesn’t tolerate soft players.Weird move to try and make a 30 year old, 9 year NHL veteran better by healthy scratching him.

Coaches are in position to figure out how to get the best out of the players that they have. They need to cater their system and philosophy to put the players on their TEAM in the best position to win.The Flyers knew Hayes was soft when they signed him. It’s kind of a poorly kept secret that the guys Flyers room haven’t been a “team” in years. It was one of the things Tortorella spoke about when he was first hired. That was going to be unhappy with Kevin Hayes was inevitable, imo.Coaches are in position to figure out how to get the best out of the players that they have. Coaches who make players bend to their will so the player obeys what the Coach wants, is just shitty and selfish.

3rd year in the league but 27 years old. Zub signing for 4/$4.6M is reinforcement to me that Scott Mayfield is going to be in the $5M-$5.5/yr range. Let’s not let him walk and be a bargain signing for another team.I don't even know who that is.
I agree and can’t wait for this fanbase to lose their stuff when it happens. He’s not a former 1st rounder, isn’t Devon Toews, and he’s gonna be 31 in year one of the deal. He’s gonna face the wrath of the ‘cap space’ ‘Lou always resigns his UFAs’ ‘Lou hasn’t made a player trade’ yada yada yada.3rd year in the league but 27 years old. Extend Mayfield now.
Pulock’s NTC means he’s not going anywhere.I agree and can’t wait for this fanbase to lose their stuff when it happens. You sign Mayfield asap, flip Pulock to Vancouver for a soon-to-be signed Horvat and bring back Luke Schenn too. Flip a pick to Anaheim for one of shatty, Klingberg, or Kulikov.
Pulock at his current price tag w/ zero offense is overpaid by $2M. He’s not gonna age well on that deal.
Probably, but just means need his permission to be moved vs just trading him outright.Pulock’s NTC means he’s not going anywhere.

At this point, for those zealots still pining for Toews, a Bobby Orr clone wouldn't suffice.
On today's Forums, the discussion would go like . . .At this point, for those zealots still pining for Toews, a Bobby Orr clone wouldn't suffice.
I thought playoff team. I didn't think all their players with any shred of talent would end up on IR.Were the preseason prognosticators picking CBJ to be a playoff team or dumpster fire?
They won the offseason cap space award. That’s the most important one. Were the preseason prognosticators picking CBJ to be a playoff team or dumpster fire?
