Mr Misunderstood
Must win.
Brock Boeser was born in 1997; that was not a hard one to look up before you commented.
He meant for Lou and the Islanders.

Entertaining game last night between Calgary and Winnipeg. I know it is late for those in the east. It looked like Ehlers got hurt at the end. I always liked him and was intrigued about him during his draft year. I know this may be uncommon but I love ESPN Plus.
ESPN+ is the best deal in streaming for meESPN+ is great
ESPN's NHL coverage / broadcast is what's worth criticizing

Dal Colle is playing here in Germany. Holy crap, he's moving around out there as slowly as your average German player. They use him in all offensive situations, and he's not a net negative on the ice per se, but jeez Louise, there's nothing special being done when that puck is on his stick and you see that shot of his like once a game. He can't even find space for it here.
He's at 1-2-3 in 8 games.
The DEL is very akin to the AHL in playing level (not surprising, considering half the league used to play in the AHL), but can even be ECHL level on bad nights.
Just unbelievable watching this guy here and thinking we once used the #5 overall pick on him.

I cannot do a thing to get rid it. Nothing I press there gets rid of it. I can't just accept all or accept nothing, and it goes away. I can only get rid of it by refreshing my screen, something several times. Or even sometimes having to close the window and then going back in again.
Any tips?
Gotta be so disappointing for these kids and their families. They go their entire youth dominating the game and being groomed for NHL stardom. Only to not quite continue their trajectory and are viewed as "busts." Must be emotionally devastating.Former Islander-related news:

Possibly. On the other hand, he is earning a living playing hockey, and not many people get to do that. That's a pretty good silver lining after not quite being able to live up to expectations.Gotta be so disappointing for these kids and their families. He's still a young man. I'm sure he's disappointed it didn't work out in the NHL, but he was able to make it there and got a fair shot at it. He's got a lot to be proud of, as that's a difficult road that not many are able to make at all. He's got a potentially bright future and a lot of options ahead of him. Good for him and I wish him the best of luck on his journey.Possibly. On the other hand, he is earning a living playing hockey, and not many people get to do that. Yeah I think that's how you and I would look at it but these kids are the elite of the elite. Always the best player wherever they go and told how talented and gifted they are. Then at some point the realization is there that not only can I make pro, but I'm going to be a first round pick in the NHL. To get there, and NOT be able to hang in the league is most likely the first and biggest hockey "failure" they experience.Possibly. I feel like we've been hearing that for a long time. Granted, they have some great young players. I guess the question this year will be whether they can actually keep the puck out of their net?vrs the young hot shot sabres
I think Vejmelka has potential to be a good goalie. Had some really strong games last season. Just needs to be more consistent.Karel Vejmelka had a strong game in net for the Coyotes.
Must be that Isles GM that lost his touch since his last Cup at faultDevon Toews: $7.25M X 7 years
Solid player who obviously has improved since his Isles days but….how does Adam Pelech get only $5.75M?
Considering the term, Pelech has the best deal on the Isles and one of the better ones in the league.
Fair call on the “obviously improved” comment. I was worried I’d get called out on that.Must be that Isles GM that lost his touch since his last Cup at fault
Toews ‘obviously improved’ is quite the understatement
He’s like a 99% WAR according to the advanced stats. Part of Maker’s success is due to Toew’s greatness.
We all remember that it came down to the uncertainty of Toew’s arbitration rights that led to the trade instead of Leddy after Devon had a mediocre playoff that season.

This. 100%.Addendum: I’ll add Pulock’s $6.25M AAV is also a head scratcher in comparison to Pelech’s. I know they pay for offense but do we get that with Pulock?
Pulock as a RHD with some offense likely placed him at that salary comparable to other players around the NHL. That’s my understanding of how agents/GMs try to hash these deals out.Fair call on the “obviously improved” comment. I was worried I’d get called out on that.
I still stand by the comparison. I’d take Pelech over Toews 7 days a week.

If I remember correctly, Pulock was heading to UFA while Pelech was still going to be an RFA.Addendum: I’ll add Pulock’s $6.25M AAV is also a head scratcher in comparison to Pelech’s. I know they pay for offense but do we get that with Pulock?
