Ok, finally made it through 56 pages of this amazing thread. I only have one question...what genius thought it was a good idea to have the draft lottery at 6 pm? Seriously, I knew it was today but just assumed it had to be at 7 or 8. I mean what the hell.

I know probably not on the radar right now but any chance you think MSG hosts some kind of out door draft party for the draft in october?

I doubt they risk that. If a player brought that back then the team would get crucified. City would probably make the rules too stringent to make it enjoyable anyways...

i wondered about that too being there were no games and 3pm on the West Coast.

“My favorite player, for sure, this year was Panarin,” Lafreniere said via a Zoom call following the drawing in which all eight qualifying-round losers had a 12.5 percent chance of snagging the top-overall pick. “Just the unreal year he had, really dominant, and one of the best players in the league this year, so for sure really exciting to watch.”

It's going to be really fun to watch them on the same ice.

I remember back in 2017 there was some chit chat that if you could combine Pettersson's or Mittelstadt's skills, with Andersson's personality, you'd have the top pick in the draft.

Well, Lafreniere is definitely a prospect that doesn't leave one wanting for much for anything.
Not a fan of his accent though.

Trade the Pick!

oh sry, should i have praised the delusion with compliments and applause to prevent your outbursts?

$10 million Eichel and/or forced to over pay for Nugent-Hopkins who faces FA in a year. Brilliant

Simple math and i’m the moron? We’ll flip on the video game and share with us how you intend to pay Zibby in two years, and Chytil, Kappo, Fox, Lindgren and Igor within 3 years with a flat Cap.

Must be too hard for the rest of us to understand on a message board as apparently you’re the next coming of John Horton Conway.
When did i say they would acquire BOTH RNH and Eichel? Where did I say that? I just showed you the math for making RNH work which would all depend on what the trade cost would be in addition to how other moves transpired. How hard is this for you? Do you really take yourself this seriously?

I admitted a move for Eichel would be complex. It likely involves Chytil. Probably involves Kravtsov. Buch goes in the deal or somewhere. Georgiev might be in the deal as well. But lets not sit here and act like I have been the first, or second, or third, or fourth, etc, person to bring Eichel up. But sure go ahead go on your little rant and single me out. Its laughable. Youre the only one bitching about mere suggestions for discussion. The only one. Get a hold of yourself and relax a bit.

Again, YOU started this nonsense, as usual. I made a post in response to the excitement of the future of the team based on today’s events and youre the one attacking a bunch of hypotheticals. Maybe have a beer. Maybe just enjoy the moment. I feel for whoever has to live with you if youre this demanding of detail on a message board...

No I meant just for the fans. Like set up outside on a big screen somewhere.
But the draft will probably be virtual anyway so wouldn't be as much fun anyway.
Yeah and you're right the city would have some strict rules limiting how many fans could attend.

1 thing you really got to love is that your franchise guys Laf& Kakko are incredible competive.
They will be the best players when it matters and lead the way.

There are teams with incredible skilled superstars but they don’t have that mentality, and it shows ln the results

not reading another meltdown. Go trade for an all-star team and a $180 million dollar payroll

Meltdown? What is the meltdown? Responding to your outlandish criticisms? You get to stake claims but someone responding to them is a meltdown? Youre laugh out loud funny man. Continuing the sarcastic BS to deflect. Yea i said to spend endless money by throwing out 2 names that others have as well...

You continue to be one of the most clownish posters on this board. You dont want to have a discussion, you want to pick a fight and tell someone else why theyre wrong and youre right. Cancel culture. Youve been doing it for a long time. Its a message board my man, maybe lighten up a tad.

I say this cautiously, because it can quickly go off the rails, but I've had several people outside the Rangers describe him as having quite a bit of Mark Messier in him. Potentially as a 30-40 goal, 60-70 assist kind of player, and potentially as competitor.

What you're describing is the complete confidence Lafreniere has in what he's doing. The great ones have that.

This almost turns me on more than just getting an amazing prospect. I saw you reference this in another post, so I'll just say it: our team is filled with pansies and "betas", including our supposed leaders like Kreider, and Zibanejad. Anybody that could change this mindset in the team should be future captain.

I think he has Lundqvist's passion for winning, but as a skater it's somewhat easier to go out there and challenge your teammates to follow your lead, or take advantage of the wake you leave.

Well, he does where #11 and a C. Coincidence? I think not.

I remember reading that the Rangers loved Krebs and he seems like the type of guy who’d fit this team going forward in a lot of ways.

They were very high on him. Wouldn't have been selected over Zegras, but definitely someone in the mix if Zegras was off the table, or if the Rangers remained at the 20 spot.

This is true, but if Vancouver called tomorrow and offered the Rangers Pettersson for Lafreniere, I don't know if they say yes.

If that’s the truth, then even if the Sens offer #3 and #5, the Rangers don’t even blink. I wouldn’t have taken that offer even when this win was a pipe dream, and I’m even less enthusiastic about it now (assuming it would ever be on the table to begin with).
