Ok, without a legit #2 center on this team and lets for the sake of argument say we don't get one are we likely going to be a contender in a couple of years?

i can see him in the Ovechkin role. Not that that he’s Ovechkin but i can see Panarin firing away from the circle. With Lafreniere, Kakko and Fox, he can do that. What an amazing day.
So we have Alfie, Hoss and prime Redden. I remember that powerplay ...

Serious Serious question. You think Quinn will give him pp1 time or the last 20 seconds of scraps on the 2nd pp unit?
If they keep Strome and put him out there with guys like Laf and Kakko getting the final 20 seconds of a pp I'm gonna flip out.

I read a comparison that said Lafreniere is like Lecavalier in terms of style, is that true? But I also read that he's more of a playmaker than a goal scorer while I think of Lecavalier in his prime as more of a goal scorer so I don't know what to believe. Also saw Jamie Benn/Taylor Hall hybrid.

I've seen a Ovechkin/Pastrnak hybrid, and Patrick Kane in a 6'2, 210" body comparison. He's got excellent vision and he goes to the front of the net.

Why are all of your trade proposals awful for the Rangers?

Thank you for your inaccurate assessment.
It is your opinion and you are entitled to it as opinion, not representation of fact.

Unless/until Krav demonstrates he can't cut the mustard, he should get every chance. Esp since he demonstrated he can do it at a high level, esp since we are starting to get quality Ws, esp since the line I had him on projects as classic effective:
driver of play - facilitator-finisher
Kakko-Krav-Panarin
clearly fits that

Probably will explore it in decided games (eg we get a PP while up 3-0) at the outset. Based on what I’m reading, Laf will perform his way into the PP1.

Cue the Pepper Needs New Shorts meme.

Congrats from Detroit. We certainly could've used the pick, but out of all the alternatives, Laf has found a pretty good home. You're going to have a very fun team to watch sooner rather than later.
I feel bad ‘cause we definitely did not deserve it. On the other hand...you guys had your fun.

I think those cannot be completely ruled out. I also think you can't completely rule out Ottawa as a trade partner.

But again, before everyone loses their mind, I want to emphasize that I would say possibility is relatively small --- as in a 20 percent chance or less.

Would you say...12.5% chance?

How much do you think Sheary would ask for? he wouldn't be a terrible third liner with some great experience playing alongside Crosby.

We just added Laf and Barron to the group Gauthier last year, and have Kravtsov waiting. I think outside of a pk specialist who is good on draws and physical, I doubt we go looking for forwards unless its to replace strome.
