Absolutely. I hope he remains an effective Ranger for at least the duration of this contract. Definitely ok with 55+ point CK at this rate — his intangibles are tremendous. The Panarin contract kind of worries me: he relies on physical agility as much as on mental agility. Will he successfully modify his game when the former fades? Some players do; some just fade away — with a huge cap hit.The Kreider contract isn’t really bad at all. If they want they can get out of it after a few years. I’m glad they kept him. Despite what our fans says he is a good guy is the lockwroom and one of the best in from on the net and obviously his speed. The injuries are mostly freak injuries Like the blood clot and the ankle injury. Other than that he had been healthy and is one of the best conditioned players I’ve seen
Trouba has one, he accepted a trade here. Kreider has a limited one on his current deal, he'd have to submit a list of x amount of teams he'd accept a trade tobut doesn’t Kreider have a NTC?
He's also a 29 year old physical winger, when those guys fall apart, they fall apart quick, and he's getting pretty close to that ageThe Kreider contract isn’t really bad at all. Jeff Gorton is a smart guy. There’s no way he watches Ryan Strome play regardless of the points and thinks he’s going to help us win a Stanley Cup.
it’s a matter of when not if he trades him. Will he do it this summer or next.

How does Laf’s upside compare with Kakkos or Hughes’s?
He's much better than either of themHow does Laf’s upside compare with Kakkos or Hughes’s?

Jets fan coming in peace! If there was any team I would've wanted to get the 1st overall it was the Rangers. I'm shocked Pens, Oilers, or Maple Leafs didn't get it you know how that goes. Stoked Nashville didn't get it either haha. Disappointing Jets didn't get it, but congrats on Lafreniere. My late uncle was a huge Rangers fan so I've always enjoyed watching them also still like watching Trouba. Will be a fun team to watch for years to come with Shersterkin, Trouba, Deangelo, Fox, Chytil, Panarin, Zibenijad, Laff, and Kakko.
Agreed. I get accused of being a Kreider lover/apologist lol. To be honest I’ve been very fair since we drafted him. He isn’t a great player but he has been a very good player for us for 8 years. Fans get angry that he isn’t non stop dominant but he wasn’t a top overall pick or even top 5 pick. For where we picked him he has been great value. I do think he overthinks sometimes but that’s not about being lazy like many people accuse him of. He also has become a great leader to the kids. But like I said the contract is t terrible and we can trade him half way through if we chooseAbsolutely. I hope he remains an effective Ranger for at least the duration of this contract. Then in the context of this conversation, it's in effect for both him and TroubaThere’s no way the NMC on his new contract isn’t already in effect.
Hampus Lindholm come on downThis would be counter productive.
We have a #1 center and we have a winger capable of carrying a line (hell, we may have 3 of them.)
We should be looking in the Cirelli/Reinhart category, not the Eichel/Barkov one. Zemgus as a 4th C seems like a no brainer move for this team (he can skate, hes got grit, can play D, PK, etc.)
Is there a move to be made for a Vet LHD with 2 years left on his contract? We have the assets to land one.
Also, I tell Nils to get his ass in camp when ever we start again. Lets see what you got (unless of course, hes traded between now and then.)
20-24
We shall see. Personally I think he won’t fall apart. Like I said we can get out of the contract if we feel it may happenHe's also a 29 year old physical winger, when those guys fall apart, they fall apart quick, and he's getting pretty close to that age
