Agreed. I like Buch but I wanted to see him take another step. He has been pretty good but I think you can get something decent for him especially if you package him with another piece

I think they have a year to play it cool still, I'm honestly pretty worried about money to go around for Fox, Mika, Kakko, and now Laf in a few years, so I think they'll be trying to fill some holes without forcing it next year and then really giving the team a hard look the year after that before they have to start dumping money on players

I would rather draft laf and have the cap flexibility than consider dealing him for an eichel or LD. He's good enough that 3 years on an elc as a complimentary player is huge. He isn't going to a team that is stripped bare. NYR has handled this rebuild so properly.

Main thing is going to be having luck in drafting good bottom-6 role players in the later rounds. It'll free up cap.

There's a number of those sorts of players of the 2-way ilk in this draft, so hopefully we'll spend a few late picks filling out the depth issues.

We watched him play center in the WJC, he did a fine job, but he wasn't as good as he is when he plays wing. I don't want to hamper a players effectiveness for potentially years because this team has holes elsewhere

I just can't believe we won 1st overall. When the ball flew up and the camera zoomed in, i thought it was Winnipeg for a split second but then i saw the blue Rangers logo and i just froze and almost shit myself.

This lottery win is simply amazing for this team. It's exactly what we needed. I don't think this organization ever had a prospect pool as amazing as this one, just incredible. And we still have another 1st rounder this draft and Kravstov coming in soon? Amazing.

Lafreniere might be the center. Rangers need to be smart. Great problem to have but that new Kreider contract and Zibby in the near future is kinda crazy. Great problem but we need a center and there is no way in Hell Strome should be signed long term.

I don't disagree, but the timelines for those types of guys are usually like 4+ years, so they need to start doing that yesterday (and they have to some degree, but I've still got my reservations about some of those guys)

I agree yet trading them isn’t the answer IMO. Lafreniere and Kakko are the two you build around. Krav gets a shot. Somewhere else a center, and a young inexpensive one, needs to be found. Really concerned about this Trouba contract now.

No reason to move Kravtsov.
Not his fault we stupidly did not move that POS Namest earlier, and not his fault we gave that effin ingrate Lias every opportunity including playing w/Kreider and Zib, when clearly, I am now proven correct we should have given that opportunity to Krav and Boo.

Buch - Strome - Deangelo are not long term here, move asap for good market value, not even a killing. Get ahead of the effin curve on the exp drft
