Vince M > mollie and far far above brooks.Nah, I like Mollie Walker and the occasional Brooks piece. Not much out there when it comes to Rangers coverage.
Vince M > mollie and far far above brooks.
I dislike staples writing at times, but he does have a solid grasp on modern hockey.
I miss when shayna was writing rangers articles.
good jobI predict:
We lose game one, everybody goes crazy, it goes the distance, The Ghost of Kravtsov Past haunts Shesty, he gets no sleep before game 7 and gets lit up. The Rangers prevail on the back of a double hattrick from Ben Harpur.
Vince M is also paywall
As is Staples.
I actually stopped subbing to The Athletic because Staples would routinely miss games entirely.
Post was free.

Larry actually has not been right in a long time. He's burned alot of bridges over the years, and the only person in the org who fed him info is clearly not in the loop anymore.I go to Vince and Mollie for breaking news and lineup decisions.
Larry and Arthur have better sources around the league (marginally) but they are effectively part-time now.
This is what I was saying earlier. I feel like when shit gets real, there is an assemblage of player types on this team (maybe more so than most) that raise their game.I am really just curious to see how they come out against the Devils. The team has been pretty low energy all season with the exception of a few games. It is just hard to gauge if they played as hard as they could all year, or if they just went through the motions to get back to the playoffs. I know Tampa on the second year of their back to back and last year were very pedestrian in the regular season and were then much tougher in the playoffs.
But then there is Colorado, which was pretty much the same all year last year. I hope we were saving 5th and 6th gear is what I'm saying, cause if not, we ain't gonna get out of the first round. We just have too much trouble against the fast, aggressive, heavy forecheck teams. Moreso than last year when at the end of the year at least we played that way too.
I think we've seen enough to know that laf and kakko are both up for big games, and thrive in the playoffs. This is what I was saying earlier. I feel like when shit gets real, there is an assemblage of player types on this team (maybe more so than most) that raise their game.
Again, I’m hoping, not expecting to see another level out of the gate

Mika last season took a few games to get going but was putting up conn smythe numbers.
Tarasenko and kane are both guys who've absolutely performed in the playoffs. We just need to see that this year.
Sure they didnt get as many goals as we'd have liked but they absolutely controlled play in both the first 2 series.Zibs, Fox, Panarin, CK for the home team and the loaners Copp and Vatrano are the ones that thrived last year for this team in the playoffs. Laf led the kids with 9 points in 20. Kakko had 5 in 19. This will be a significantly more difficult run to make than last year. The kids have this thing with being hot and cold throughout the season, and they all needs to be hot consistently. Senko I can see making a difference here, but I don't know about Kane man.
Theres been alot of comments that kane will be getting a shot in his hip which will significantly improve his play. That he was holding out because you can only get one every 6 weeks.I want to believe Kane was saving himself for the playoffs, that would be quite the nice surprise if he comes out flying in game 1
I want to see Leschyshyn
