A lot of overreaction here.

Hank played well, our D wasn't too bad, PK was good.

This could have easily went our way with a bounce. Come back strong next game, and don't let up.

the main concern I have about this team now is their PP. LA is a good team, but they showed some weakness there in prior series. If we can't find a way to use that to our advantage, our chances are slim indeed.

Also, can't let their defenders so much time in their own end. Need to establish a forecheck.

On to game 2. We need 4 out of 6. We've done it before.

Looks like a beatable team to me. A few brain dead plays and a few missed chances. N.Y.R. beat themselves not the other way around. Oh well, just go get game two is all.

Yea I saw this McDonagh did absolutely nothing wrong there. He saw the puck coming right to Girardi went went to break up and give him an option to start up an offensive play. Not his fault girardi ****ed it up and coughed up the puck

Would've been a 4 on 2 going the other way.

Then again, it's not like we would've gotten a shot off.

Kreider was pretty quiet along with Brassard...bounce back next game..Hagelin awesome tonight

I can't complain about anything else. We got to OT after a great 1st period, a solid 2nd period, and a 3rd period where our franchise player did what he does.

Girardi passed it DIRECTLY to a ****ing Kings player with nobody else in the zone. Literally unacceptable. The worst play of his ****ing career.

we surprised them with our speed. they were able to handle it. then they adjusted and changed their game.

then we adjusted to that by showing them our pathetic pp and putting on a stevie wonder shooting clinic with a side order of much sloppiness 2nd half of the game and numerous missed chances.

please tell me again what rick nash really does on this team? hes seriously like a frozen sloth dipped in molasses. dude is just slow motion all the time.

oh well. we had them down 2-0 then we went full doofus. wiining that game would have been huge.

game 2 is a chance for redemption.

Kings capitalize on their scoring chances, Rangers don't. It's that simple. If the Rangers converted on their quality chances the way the Kings did, we could've won by 2 goals. The Rangers are just awful shooters.

Rangers have a lot of pass first guys.

Its called slipping. Please re-watch the play. You obviously didn't see what happened. He slipped. Nothing he could do at that point.

Yes. I'll listen to you. Where's that other hardcore Girardi fan coming to defend him boy? Name might start with an "s," not sure.

Fine. He slipped. He can still throw the puck behind the net instead of throwing it right up the middle and onto Williams' stick. He had time. He wasn't even being pressured.

**** it. New defense pairings.

Mcd-Stralman - the only 2 defensemen actually worth a damn tonight.

Moore-Klein - Better than the third combination.

Staal-Girardi - Instead of poisoning 2 defense pairings with them, we can just have one poisonous defense pairing instead.

Moore can't handle 2nd pairing minutes.

Look at it this way... the Rangers lost game 1 of the 1994 SCF. It happens. The best team in the league that year gets taken to 7 games by a lesser seed.

G ****ed it up badly BUT when the whole team plays like ******* in the 3rd it's just bound to happen. Too bad for him to be the Pejorative Slured scapegoat.

Suck it up and dont sucks donkey next game pls.

Rangers won every game 1 and now everyone is panicking because they lost. If they lose on Saturday, OK, feel free. Otherwise, stop with the overreacting.

same problem tonight we've had all year, can't finish. Rangers should have had at least a couple more goals. Add in some dumb sloppy plays and we let a golden opportunity slip away

Gotta win game 2 and get the split, take home ice advantage back to MSG

Kreider - Brassard - Marty
Moore - McDonagh

Hagelin - Stepan... - Zucc
Moore - McDonagh

Nobody but Moore and McDonagh on the points. Simple as that.

And even then. No series is over until a team loses at home or the team with home ice wins game 7.

Kings getting the bounces as usual.. That has been their whole playoffs pretty much..
