If they would only shoot the damn puck. Nash, msl, stepan, zucc always try and pass through 3 players....so many chances blown

So I gather the fact that Girardi ****ed up at a bad time means that everything else he's done for this organization is down the toilet.

I'm as angry and disappointed as anyone. The team let up in the third and we were always up against it at that point.

Great job Girardi.

But let's all just blame the ice and forget that we were outshot by almost a 2:1 ratio, didn't even bother showing up in the third period, sucked ass on the powerplay again, and completely fumbled any rare opportunities that we did have to score.

No. It's all because of the ice.

I'm absolutely shocked people are blaming the ice.

This game taught me one thing, Anton Stralman needs to be re-signed. If the money's not there, find some. Trade someone. He is the #2.

I honestly don't know what was more disgusting:

(1) Stepan checking his twitter account, paying some bills, reading the news, then deciding to turn the puck over; or

(2) Watching Nash have 2-3 feet on a defender, stop, wheel backwards on a 3-1 and lose the puck; or

(3) Watching richards blast weak slapper after weak slapper at the high point on the powerplay with no real scoring threat, not to mention just watching him muck through the ice all game 4-5 strides behind EVERY OTHER PLAYER ON THE ICE; or

(4) Watching staal do whatever it is he is doing on the ice. It's painful; or

(5) Watching girardi belly flop and cough the puck up for a 3-0 against hank.

If this is what we can expect for the next week or so LA sweeps us, plain and simple.

Need to tighten up in our own end. the Girardi and Stepan plays were 2 where the puck needs to be out of the zone. Need more speed on the rush too. Didn't see much of it after the 1st period.

Here's the key to winning hockey games. PUT THE ****ING PUCK ON GOAL.

This game never should have gotten to OT. It should have been won in the second period. Missed chances galore that Quick didn't even need to make a save on.

I think AV is a lot more ****ing upset with the god awful turnovers in this game than missed opportunities.

Girardi had a pretty good game, unfortunately tainted by that gaffe at the end.

Whatever. My heart is in my throat. I don't know if I can deal with this for 4-7 games. We gotta come out like we did today and take it to them but for 60 minutes. This team is beatable.

Girardi's **** play aside, the Rangers took their foot off the gas in the 2nd, and got completely dominated in the 3rd.

Any chances we did have, we we're trying to be too cute, instead of putting the puck on net. Disgusting how players at this level don't know fundamental hockey.

Keep it simple. Tough loss...

Get rid of this team's entire "leadership" group. Staal, Girardi, Nash, and Richards all ****ing garbage.

Welp staying away from the main boards the rest of the way. Complete ****show of Debbie's fans..bitter habs fans and insufferable kings fans.

As far as the game. Study the tape and move on to the next. You've seen what you're up against, time to adjust.

It's one game. Rangers win game 2 and everyone goes into MSG feeling good. Of course you want to win Game 1 since it takes a bit of pressure off, but it is what it is.

We are still in this. Just game 1. Would have been nice to steal this but if we grab the game on Saturday, the momentum's back in our corner. They're not invincible...we mostly beat ourselves toward the end...

The good news is that I'm confident that the Kings are beatable, but its going to take a much better effort than that. Probably sat for a day or two too long.

I'm really not sure if some of you have ever played sports. He slipped. No other Ranger was anywhere near him in the defensive zone, not enough time to get up, so he tried his best to clear the puck from the zone. I really don't know what he else he could have done there. Its bad luck and bad ice conditions.

It wasn't even a mistake or an error. Slipping is part of sports. Awful time to slip in your defensive zone, but those things tend to even themselves out out in a series.

The guys who struggled will bounce back. This team doesn't quit. They were a glove save on a breakaway from winning this game.

You know who I'm most sick of missing the net? It isn't Nash and it isn't St Louis and it isn't Richards. It's Zuccarello. Guy gets more prime shots off than anyone else on the team and he's constantly missing.

Girardi can go **** off back to Canada and take Staal with him, disgusting performance from both. It's the ****ing cup, play like it! Wouldn't be opposed to dealing Staal and giving some of his UFA money to Stralman, he'll be substantially less and if the difference is being able to sign Moore or Boyle, it might be worth it.
