Chance of seeing Tyrod Taylor next week instead of Jones seems to be increasing

The problem is not at QB with this team. And that's something we haven't been able to say since Kirk. Get him an O-line and he will flourish

It's hard to gloat about DAL getting their butts kicked by SF knowing we got beaten down by CHI.

SF are legit SB contenders and probably slight favorites in the NFC over Philly. CHI were trying to avoid losing 17 games.

But yeah, good to see DAL and NYG get stomped, even if it was at the hands of the top teams in the conferences.

he's done badly without a qb
Who doesn’t? DC hasn’t had a QB for a long time. Not much winning has taken place.

I know Trashcat was just trolling but considering Belichick is a fellow Fighting Panther I’m compelled to defend his honor. I’ll just say this, Belichick has called the shots since he signed with NE. He drafted Brady and in the age of the salary cap kept a winning team around Brady for the better part of 2 decades. 6 SBs was the result. And a couple of those SBs were won with defense. It’s an unbelievable accomplishment and there is no credible way to debate those facts.

As much as I loathe belicheat, smug Brady, and the entire patriot regime that past 20 years. Hard to say they were anything other than extraordinarily successful. Bill’s reclamation projects are pretty much in class above all others.

They are the nfl equals to cheatin’ Chad and Jimmy Johnson in nascar. Top of the heap for quite a while.

Uh oh, another 2023 draft pick might actually have to play. I’m sure Jack will coach him up right and put him in a position to succeed and not get torched on multiple blown coverages.

Watching Joey Porter Jr with a game-changing INT on Sunday was tough. Forbes looks lost, though I don’t know enough to say whether it’s his fault or Jack’s. I’m willing to give him time to develop and hopefully get coached up by a defensive coordinator who doesn’t suck.

Forbes is a ball hawk, he's always going to make dumb risky plays and get you turnovers. That's what he is. He's not a solid coverage guy. Every scout in America knew this and if we drafted him expecting something different that's poor drafting. If we drafted him because we wanted the defense to force more turnovers then we got exactly what we wanted. Unfortunately, this regime seems to believe in drafting for need(and their feels on "high character") not BPA.

I agree, there is justification.

But I think these people need to have an eye on the long term. And maybe in light of the Snyder history, a strong message of decency may serve the franchise better - especially with respect to Rivera, who by all accounts is a class act.

Yes, thank you.

We spent 25 years under Snyder .. and all it took was a 2-3 record for fans to want melted ice cream to be put back on desks.

We'll finish 7-10, draft 16th overall and Harris and Co can hand pick their GM and go from there.

Lets show Ron some respect. Lets do the opposite of what Snyder would do.

If he can’t a least tread water in coverage….his mythical ball hawking abilities are useless. He’s a complete liability otherwise.

You only draft a guy like that if you believe you can coach up his weaknesses. If not, he’ll bust eventually.

I don't really know what Ron has done to earn a guaranteed dignified exit. He is a fantastic person and he did provide a respectable level of professionalism to this organization as Snyder was crashing and burning but he's in year four here and they've accomplished nothing of note on the field. He won the worst division in football with a losing record his first season and scared Tom Brady with Taylor Heinicke but it's been downhill from there. Del Rio is total ass and Rivera's comments after Thursday's game about not making any staff changes because it's only been five games are ridiculous considering he and Jack have been at this for four years now. In a nationally televised game they got blown out at home against an 0-4 team and he admitted to not speaking with the players during halftime. What, pray tell, does he actually do?

I lean more and more on the side of firing him, and I would do it Monday morning if they lose to the Falcons on Sunday. To me a lot of evaluation is not just looking at the results but looking at the process that delivered you the results and the process seems to stink. For example, they've only been leading the game at half in 25% of the games that Rivera has been coaching. To me that's just unacceptable.

By firing him you accomplish a few things:

- Gives EB an extended look as interim head coach to see if he's your guy moving forward.
- Removes Ron from making any important roster or front office decisions knowing his judgment may be affected since he knows it's sink or swim for him this year.
- Gets Jack Del Rio the f*** out of DC.
- Gives the new ownership group a head start on identifying replacement candidates.
- Sends a message to the players that new ownership has no ties to anyone here and it's perform or leave.

For me Ron has done nothing to prove that he has any idea what it takes to get this team to be anything other than .500 and mediocre. All of the players by now are his players and he's straight up destroyed the offensive line. It's time to move on.

Wait, what?! RR didn’t talk during halftime?

First I’ve seen that nugget.

Did he follow up that admission with the tried and true…”they’re professionals and adults” rationale?

Seriously, who the f*** is Pat McAfee? Wait, I just looked him up. He’s a retired idiot kicker. It all makes sense.

Interesting.
