Ian Cunningham is no slouch either.

He has been with Chicago as AGM since 2022, so he was part of them fleecing Carolina last year.
Fair. Perhaps Peters is Head of Football Ops, IC becomes GM. That's be a pretty damned decent brain-trust.

Had the exact same thought but maybe too many bosses.
I’d rather see a Bob Myers as the head of the Skins (maybe be in charge of all of Harris’ pro sports teams, as his “main guy” in charge of Pro Sports?!?), with Peters reporting to Myers as head of Skins.

That’s the dream team. Being from SF, I’ve seen it in spades.

Interesting timing. Hiring from within 1 day after cutting ties with BB suggests these talks were in the works for a while. BB has to feel a bit cucked, imo. At least pretend to conduct a full search before doing this.

Mayo was the inside linebacker coach, not even a coordinator. 4 total years of coaching experience. The Pats either know something the rest of us don't know, or they are just saying "fuggit", whoever follows BB is doomed anyway so let's not waste time on a real search.
Played his entire career as a Patriot. He was a team captain his entire career under BB. Been on the staff since 2019. He’s the purest example of promoting from within you can find….

I’d wager BB loves this guy and is happy he got the job. Good on NE for hiring their first black HC.

Never heard of Peters prior to a few days ago .. seems to be the best of the choices.

I really really want to know who was responsible for the Davis and Forbes picks.

Wasn't it Ron?
I think Ron was the father figure and probably had a vote amongst 5 or so people voting. I dont think he did the scouting, recommendations etc

BUT .. I NEED to know who it was that was pushing this "reach for guys that have high physical attributes but need development" approach

For closure, I need to say out loud "f*** you Mr. __________ _______________" .. i just dont know the name yet

I would have no objections if Peters first move was to fire the entire personnel department including Mayhew and Hurney. Just clean the table entirely. Start fresh with his guys. I can imagine there will be a LOT of blame shifting and finger pointing amongst the personnel troops in the next few days.
