2 things Brissett does well that Howell does not:

1. Getting rid of the ball quickly
2. Moving in the pocket to buy time

I suspect this is probably the end for Howell as a starter in the league. We will probably go QB with our pick.

If we stay in the top three, we really might need to start talking about the Marvin Harrison factor. He could go pick one or two with both the teams in front of us having a quarterback, or be there at number three and having tons of trade value potentially.

I don’t think I see another win for the Cardinals, playing the Seahawks and eagles
They could beat the Seahawks. Especially if Seattle is eliminated (prob not, but??).

I don’t want a WR at 3OA, no matter who he is.

QB or OT or trade back.

I took that as OW's point -- MH2 could actually go 1 or 2, pushing Calen or Maye to us. Or, if he's there at 3, he could draw numerous trade options for us.

But to your point -- QB or OT, but don't trade back far enough to knock us behind QB3 and OT 2. If we end up w/ a damned Edge, I'm gonna punch a wino.

Thinking about the last UNC sophomore quarterback to be a likely top 5 pick... Wonder how that guy's doing? (I'm not comparing their play styles or skills, haven't seen enough of Maye, just a little amused by the situation.)

I wish we would have won, to save us from picking a QB. We need either Fashanu or Alt. Getting a QB is going to set us back years.

I don’t know, the last couple weeks have made me really question the odds of Howell eventually being the guy. The offense has looked night and day different with Brissett at QB and we know he is pretty much just a solid backup QB type. I’m not sure I’m buying the premise that with a much better offensive line Howell becomes a good QB and thus the team doesn’t need to get a good QB. So either get the QB now or get him later but hopefully you aren’t in position to draft this early again so this is going to be your best chance to get a difference maker at that position in the draft.

Earlier in the year I was all in on using the pick on a left tackle. But the last few weeks have completely changed my thinking on Howell.

If anything the last few weeks have reinforced how shitty their line is. Howell looks shell shocked back there and is feeling pressure that’s not always there. If they think they’re getting a bonafide star at QB then they should pull the trigger but I still think Howell can be pretty decent.

Brissett’s performances don’t change the equation for me. It’s a lot easier to come in for mop up duty and provide a spark when the other team has taken its foot off the gas.

My feel is if they end up picking at #3 and one of the top two QBs is available they will pick one.
