The context of the change was to see how many suckers out there will buy it because they think they have to be "current".

It's the same context as other teams that have done this.

Step 1: Make change solely to sell merch to suckers.
Step 2: Rake in money from suckers.

This and this and this and this.

And then go back in 2 years to the previous design (mostly) for the exact same reasons.

...wat

I honestly don't know how that relates to what I was saying. I didn't say anything about Adidas stock levels. And I know it was a promo, I was trashing it as a promo for these garbage jerseys.

EDIT: Just realized you were the one I asked how you knew it was just one jersey. So it seems you're saying if the Devils handed out more than one, they would have promoted that they gave out more than 1? So...did the Devils actually post about this? I don't use twitter and only follow them on FB. I didn't see it on FB and I only found out about it from my gf seeing the guy tweeting about receiving a jersey from Schneider. I haven't seen anything about the Devils promoting the fact that they did this.

Devils re-tweeted a post from the NHL about it. It has also been posted on other sites such as TSN, NJ New 12, etc. and all are for the same fan.

They handed out 1.

Even worse in motion. Manageable if watching the game from mid-stomach and higher. Wonder if it's possible to get that view nowadays with modern camera technology.

Such a shame.

I think it has a lot to do with the arm swimmies. On the whites the bands are dark, subtle. On the reds the bands are an obtrusive eyesore.

Agree with most of you all, the whites look sooo much better than the reds for sure. Sure, you miss the bottom striping on the whites, but when combined with the black, it really doesn't look all that bad. As for the reds, it looks like Adidas made our team a bunch of bloody tampons on ice with the amount of red that is on it. Totally disgusting. If, and I mean IF I get a new Adidas jersey, it's the away jersey only.

And don't know what was worse for the Rangers, that ugly red pendant on the collar, the out of place laces, the stupid chrome NHL logo, or the fact that they are the Rangers. Check that...all of the above.

Ottawa came to mind last night when I tuned in.
They don't look like the NJD aside from the logo.
A downgrade for sure.

The Rangers look exactly the same, not much to complain about. I actually didn't mind our new jerseys at first, but looking back at highlights in the old ones, you realize what a downgrade it really is. I bought an authentic red of the new jersey and it's ridiculous how small the logo is in comparison to the old one.

This could have been a huge win if they just switched back to the retro jerseys, or even just used the retro template with red and black. Whoever designed these has horrendous taste. I have a hard time believing Adidas had a substantial say in the ultimate product.

FWIW I believe anything below a size 54 or 52 in the new Indo-Zero's will have a smaller logo on it. Others have reported it as well. Anything above it will be the normal size.

Ridiculous, if true. Given that we're not wearing equipment under the jerseys, there's probably a decent amount of fans who are effected by this unless you want to wear a dress.

I wear a Reebok medium. What does that translate to the authentic Addidas?

That would likely be a 46 or 50. I think a 50 is generally a large and 52 is XL, but it looks like a 50 is a medium in Adidas. I just read that only 44 and 46 has the small logo, so I might return the 46 for a 50. The small logo is extremely apparent and ridiculous looking.

I had a white authentic 50 in my hand at the game Monday. I liked it. Almost pulled the trigger on it. :amazed: But then I remembered the status of my bank account.

Where'd you read that the logo is smaller? And when you say it's only on the 44 and 46, that means the 42 has the normal sized logo?
