I'd be surprised if any current players would say they didn't like the jerseys to any fans even if they actually felt that way.

Well one reason players DO like the new jerseys is they're not as heavy on them. Fans don't care about that but players do while they're wearing equipment and skating on the ice lol

It's literally a Chinese knockoff version that's been made official. I would have to seriously consider not taking it if offered for free because you honestly couldn't pay me to wear that ugly thing.

In Crocodile Dundee style, "That's not a knockoff. THAT'S a knockoff."

They're both hideous knockoffs. :D

we've come full circle

obscure pajama knockoff inspires revised authentic which in turn spawns new knockoff of revised authentic

Yeah apparently they are a fan of the new material and make. Honestly I don't think they care at all about the changes in look.

Of course they dont. Just like they don't care about the goal song, the logo on the helmet and not namesake, etc. They're trivial things that fans complain about that in reality mean very little.

Side note, I'm going to measure the width of the arm bands and compare to the RBKs at some point unless someone already did it. I don't think it's THAT much wider let alone wide enough to be "swimmies"

To be quite frank I have no idea if that's the real jersey or a photo you just found from a knockoff site.

What am I looking at here?

It's from a knockoff site. It's basically a knockoff of the chinese knockoff of our classic jerseys

You do see a lot of this stuff at the arena though. Have since the lockout. Football jerseys too. Some are hard to tell and others are very obvious. They have a lot of loose threads, these very thick shiney numbers. Sometimes the color is just a bit off

speaking of knockoffs, im going to come out of the closet …...i own a basturdized korean CCM i found years ago at a gas station (yes, a gas station)

it was dirt cheap and had the same striping as the new jerseys (with the waist also) …so f*** it, i bought it…i never wear the thing out in public or to games ….its a tad big so i use it solely as my pond hockey jersey to play goal. also, the crest is a bit smaller then it should be… but whatever…..its for the pond

ill post a picture when i get a chance. proof that the waist stripes need to be back regardless of thickness

Watching some of the preseason is adidas basically fixed everyone's jersey with the hem stripes following the curvature of the jersey. Except ours got ruined.

As I said at the time this screams ownership wanting to change the uniforms to cash in on jersey sales, but knowing major changes would be revolted against. So they went with a half measure, which was worse.

No one should buy the jerseys. Just hold off and wait the year or two to when they change them back. It's going to happen.
