it was dirt cheap and had the same striping as the new jerseys (with the waist also) …so **** it, i bought it…i never wear the thing out in public or to games ….its a tad big so i use it solely as my pond hockey jersey to play goal. also, the crest is a bit smaller then it should be… but whatever…..its for the pond

As I said at the time this screams ownership wanting to change the uniforms to cash in on jersey sales, but knowing major changes would be revolted against. So they went with a half measure, which was worse.

No one should buy the jerseys. Just hold off and wait the year or two to when they change them back. It's going to happen.

We may never get the classic jersey back as it was because that would be an admittance of failure by ownership, they're going to want to cling to something to make it seem like some changes they made were well received. I would guess the hem stripes come back but they're still going to be overly fat and wide.

Also the old Devils jersey had broader shoulder blacks. These are narrower. I don't think the wider ones even fit the Adidas template.

You guys will think I'm crazy... but now when I see pics of the guys in the old Reebok Edge jerseys.... I like the new Adidas ones better. Kill me.

They only make money on jersey sales that occur in the arena/Devils Den so.... not really cashing in on much.

Watching the Edmonton game and realizing how bad our shoulders look compared to theirs. Edmonton shoulders look like a classic hockey jersey. Ours look boxy and cut off.

Strongly considering buying a McDavid.

I think the new Adidas jerseys are sharp. I just don't like ours enough to spend however much it costs. Nor do the Devils really have a player whose name I'm confident in putting on a jersey right now.

Hischier, Palmieri, Severson, Schneider are all jersey worthy and locked up.

Unfathomable jersey foul. Fireable offense. Elias name only belongs on a beautiful classic jersey not this turd. Can you imagine a fishsticks jersey with Bossy on the back? Or Buffaslug or Perreault?

I'd bet they won't use this new style as the retirement banner. It wouldn't look right visually since the others are different. Plus he never wore it.

I remember someone saying that the Devil's redesigned jersey's sold out on NHL.com. Are deliveries delayed? I was searching for people wearing them at yesterday's game, 3 or 4 people is all I saw.
