I don’t know why you’re bringing up dmen that also scored less than dougie. Doesn’t change the fact that he scored more points than anyone on the hurricanes this season. I don’t know why you are still grinding an axe about Hamilton getting the hurricanes eliminated years later. Hurricanes did pretty well getting eliminated without him last season. You would likely still have Hamilton if your cheap skate owner wasn’t obsessed with trying to turn nickels into dimes instead of just picking up a quarter. Regular season success doesn't always carry over to playoff success. Just look at Florida last year. If the top teams in the regular season always means more playoff success, then that would mean the Presidents trophy winners would and should be winning more stanley cups in the same year.

Outside of staying out of the box, this would be the other major concern, of course. I wouldn't at all be shocked if VV lost a game in this series just by being bad and Igor stole a game for the Rangers where NY was clearly outplayed.

If something like that happens, really hard to win a series
