I don't look ahead at the Devils schedule but are there any games against low tier teams to bring him up and get a look at him?
Not worth it unless someone on the right gets banged up
BahlHe might be the best option as 4th RD. Who played on the right side when Marino was down? Was it mostly Smith?

Am I the only one who read that "Oh My" in Dano's voice?
I doubt they will pull Nemec from a playoff race in Utica to get minimal minutes in the NHL with the Devils having a fully healthy defense corp. Plus by the time the Devils clinch everything Luke Hughes might be here to take that role.I don't look ahead at the Devils schedule but are there any games against low tier teams to bring him up and get a look at him?
Nemec has an extremely high hockey IQ and is an excellent and effortless skater. I am sure he will be an excellent player for us in the future, but I'd give him at the very least one more year in the AHL.When you pass the eye test and produce, you know the kid will be in the league a long time.
Absent an injury it's hard to see NJ sitting any of Sevs, Dr. Evil, or Dan Marino to play Nemec just to play him.I doubt they will pull Nemec from a playoff race in Utica to get minimal minutes in the NHL with the Devils having a fully healthy defense corp. Last 2 games of the season for example they could sit Hamilton.... and give him a game or two, depends if they would have something to play for or not. They surely won't play Hughes and Hischier in Washington in the last game if they're set in 1st or 2nd place, maybe Hughes if he chases 100 points for example.Absent an injury it's hard to see NJ sitting any of Sevs, Dr. Evil, or Dan Marino to play Nemec just to play him.
