for a guy who doesn't really have a big slapper, he sure scores a lot.
Some guys have a knack for their shot getting through like Dr. Evil. He can get it on goal from just about anywhere and it's often times a tricky shot even if it isn't a rocket. Bring a tricky shot through some bodies and that's ultimately more effective than launching a rocket three feet over the goal or into the head of the captain.

I don`t think that rocket shot is a real-real thing anymore. Teams playing in pretty good defensive game overall, it`s a very rare situation when defenseman has open spavce to make a shot. And it`s dangerous for opponents and for his partners when players shoot hard into the traffic. It`s more important to use covering players to make unexpected shot for goalie.

And he will thus demand.... one.... millllionnn.... dollars

I am haunted by our powerplay running through Langenbruner on the point.

Nemec should help our PP greatly. We’ll see how much time he gets on there eventually, and I think Luke could be very good on the PP also, but to me, Nemec seems more suited to run the PP up top. His poise, IQ, shot placement and passing just scream PP QB to me.

Regardless, it’s exciting to have 2 elite prospects on defense who complement each other in their offensive styles.

Early on this season he wasn't playing on the PP(or at least not the top unit) has that changed?

Top unit pp in NJ is going to be tough choice in a couple years between the 3 d-men.

I’m pretty sure I read he’s now getting some PP time. He’d be a good PP QB at the next level I feel like.

Just checked, only 1 PPG for Nemec, 1SHG goal as well.

Walsh has 4 ppg, Russo with 2.

Connecting the dots but doesn't appear Nemec has gotten much pp time this season.

Don't know the assist breakdown, but his ho hum season point totals does need to be taken within that context.

Nemec's production, given the lack of prime PP opportunity, is very impressive as an 18 year old in the AHL. Reports are that his defensive game is coming along.

I think this is a very encouraging season from him. I'd almost hesitate to say he is more ready to play an NHL-style game than Luke.

He’s maybe more well-rounded, but I think Lukes offensive upside and skating makes him more of an immediate impact.

Just mentioned it in the Utica thread, but Nemec is also 3rd on the team in SOG's, just 2 behind Walsh who has played 6 more games then Nemec, and I think has played a lot more on the PP.

So yeah, sneaky encouraging stats from Nemec this year.
