Division lead shrinking quickly before our eyes. Like I’ve said for the past week, this team has been in an extended run of bad play.
Agreed.Really bad loss, can't sugarcoat that game. Blew a 2 goal lead twice, had the better period in the third + OT tied and lost.
They should have won this one though. Hate to see wins slip away when you outplay an opponent. You mean we’re not really a 140 point team?
I mean I’m amazed they were able to plow through it as much as they did but without him and Bastian they’ve become a three line teamWe were like 18-1 without Palat. I'm not buying that one.
We’ve lost 6 games in 27….not really sure if there’s a “pattern” there.
I didn’t get the sense that they played not to lose. They carried the 3rd period. Shesterkin made some quality saves and he’s an elite keeper. I wouldn’t say we got goalied, but he was definitely the better goalie.Yep.
We mock the "Loser Point" but it may be the one thing that enables the Devils in keeping their heads above water, so to speak.
But they can't depend on that every game.
They need to get back to playing to WIN, not to lose.
Getting a point, though, helps mitigate that "shrinkage".Division lead shrinking quickly before our eyes. Like I’ve said for the past week, this team has been in an extended run of bad play.

Yeah this is why I can’t blame the refs stupidity, we had more than enough chances tonight and gave it awayWe gave up the lead. Failed to increase it with a penalty shot. (Would have been 4-1)
Almost gave it up again in 3rd in last 45 seconds.
Gave up a late goal to end a period (1st)
Palat likely moves Haula downPalat slotting into Holtz spot is gonna fix a lot of issues
I believe he did have pretty good stats through his first 5-6 games (probably not quite as good though?) and even through 10-ish games or so (I'll have to check) but it was all downhill after that.did daws have the same stats after 5 or 6 games or whatever it is? schmid is literally one of the best goalies in the league right now, and we should ride the hot hand. no brainer. he’s also older than daws, i think.
Not at all to me. We played a great third period. Totally controlled the play and had our chances. Getting that point is huge. A year ago we lose that game in regulation. That 3d was the 3d of a mature playoff team. The team looks like they lost their swagger....
Hope we get some line tweaks tomorrow. Back to back... Yikes.
5on5, 2.52 xGF (3GF), 0.86 xGA (2 GA). Outstanding. We can have games like this the rest of the way and glide into the playoffs. Really frustrating loss because the Rangers did absolutely nothing outside of the gift PP +7 seconds though.
It's 7 games. He's not going to keep up what he's doing.why isn’t schmid our starter again? anyone?
Who gives a shit about the division? I mean really now…if they start skirting the playoff bubble then get back to me with Panic City ticketsDivision lead shrinking quickly before our eyes. Like I’ve said for the past week, this team has been in an extended run of bad play.
Lol you’re kidding me dude. You were just whining about their poor play even when they were winning and they do this and it’s still part of the “extended run of bad play” (which doesn’t even really exist).Division lead shrinking quickly before our eyes. It’s the NHL. That’s going to happen. Especially on the road and especially against elite goalies. They should have won this one though. Hate to see wins slip away when you outplay an opponent.
Teams are backing off him.bratt seems to have completely disappeared 5v5. he can lick my balls for $9M a year.
