Yes. If we win one of the last two, we're in no matter what. The Bungles are after the same spot and will be a hard game. If KC wins next week, or Buffalo looses, they'll have nothing to play for in the final week. That should be an easy game for us, because I doubt they'll risk Mahomes getting hurt. But if they lose and Buffalo wins..... That'll be another tough game for us. And the Bungles play us and the Steelers to finish the season. They have a pretty good chance at stealing this spot from us.

Not playing Mahomie the last game of the year, at least some of it has traditionally not ended well for teams that sit starters. Not to mention the chiefs have a bye the first round

I had to shut off the game 20 mins in. They don’t resemble anything like they did 2 years ago. Jokic seems frustrated - he’s not really moving the ball like he used to and the trust in his teammates seems like it’s gone. It’s not his fault - can’t blame him. But I think even Jokic has finally had enough.

Watching them is painful enough but then listening to the ESPN commentators on top of it is like nails on a chalkboard. Their commentary teams are all pretty much insufferable.

I dunno how the NFL addresses it but these Thursday night games are consistently such a terrible product. I never would have thought 2 days of extra rest between Thurs and Sun would make such a strong difference but apparently it does.

I thought I was the only one who preferred it when football was only played on four days of the week. Sunday would get me an early east coast game and a late west coast game. Monday of course was MNF. Friday nights, you'd go watch your local high school and Saturday was all about college football.

But the NFL expanding onto Thursday nights seemed like an attempt to go to war with the NBA (I don't believe Goodell is actually aware of the NHL existing).

I 100% believe there's a battle for viewership. LeBron James even acknowledged it after the Lakers/Warriors game on Christmas by stating Christmas is the NBA's day. I don't think the NBA is all to pleased with the NFL scheduling multiple Christmas day games the last 4 years.

I'm trying to remember but growing up, I don't think the NFL played any Christmas games but I remember Detroit and Dallas both playing Thanksgiving games at various times.

70s though were a different era and it seemed like the leagues preferred to shut down for the holidays and I remember all my friends and family not being bothered by it at all. We'd all use that time to actually either catch up on things with loved ones... or get in some cardio by getting into a donnybrook with your uncle/cousin who never learned not to poke the bear.

They make billions of dollars every year, there is no reason whatsoever to try and expand, it's just greedy old men who simply cannot tell themselves that enough is enough. The only good thing to come out of Thursday Night Football is money it puts in the service industry's pocket.

I also don't think the flex schedule is a good thing either, I preferred it when the NFL showcased the Monday night game and left the Sunday night game as their "meh" matchup. And really, if they're going to flex the f***ing Thursday night game, then why not just go back to the way with was with Monday night!?

I wonder what will happen when Jerry Jones dies. That guy is the real commissioner, not Goodell. He's got his greedy little mitts all over the league, and while fans (rightfully) focus their ire on Kroenke and whoever the dope is who owns the Chargers, it was Jerry Jones who was the driving force behind the Rams and Chargers returning to Los Angeles, and he made a shit-ton of money off that whole fiasco. Not that I think the rest of the NFL is full of good, wholesome, egalitarian people, but he pretty much embodies everything wrong in professional sports.

I, for one, may actually start to watch the NFL regularly again. Growing up in Texas guess who I was a fan of? The day JJ fired Tom Landry was the day I kinda of stopped following the game.

That was a travesty, and I didn't stop following football, just leaned into the Broncos at that point. I grew up with family from Texas, who had been diehard Cowboy fans since the AFL, so I was indoctrinated. Tom Landry and Charles Schulz died on the same day, I will never forget that was the day my childhood was totally gone.

At no point did I say the NFL would listen to me. But they’ve created new problems in the wake of that sale. Ratings are nowhere near where they want them, so they’re flexing teams into that Thursday night game, and it’s pissing off fans and players.

I thought the whole POINT of switching emphasis to the Sunday night game was so flexing was easier. But now they’re doing it with the Thursday game!?!? That’s why I’m saying, why did you even bother switching the marquee matchup to Sunday when you could’ve just kept it on Monday and flexed then?

I’m just saying, they already had a monumental cash cow just playing two days a week. But nope, they had to have more. And they’ll never stop. Watch them add yet another regular season game and injuries skyrocket even further.
